As a young girl, growing up among Muslims. I admired their way of modesty. It was perculiar but I liked it. I was comfortable with it. It felt right. Then I looked among my Christian brethren.
Well, speaking for myself I dressed modestly given basic social Christian norms, Added to the fact that my parents helped alot with that situation.
I was shocked at the dresses Christian girls would wear. There were excuses for them. The popular one is these,
"God sees my heart not my body'".
St. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians said, that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
Being Catholic, I'm made to understand that I'm made in God's image and likeness.
Jesus said to his disciples that one shouldn't be the cause of leading their brother to sin.
For my Muslim sister, I can't say I know but I can make conjectures.
Yes people would laugh at you and make you out as hypocrites.
The examples would be appalling. You would hear,
"It's not by covering up".
So to you my readers why the immoral dressing?
My encouragement to those trying is that God loves you 😍.
