Getting rid of those immodest things.
Now those immodest things are actually alot.
Modesty is not going to start shining outwards for us sisters it has to radiate inwards.
For Jesus said,
"It's what comes out of a man that makes him unclean",
What does this tell us.
We have to avoid listening, reading and watching immodest things.
For my Muslim sisters, don't feel left out this includes you.(I know there's argument concerning what's haram and and not for music perhaps this can help you).
For my Catholic sisters let's take a look at the Catechism shall we,
Number One,
Get rid of songs that contains immmodest lyrics. Noo, don't shout. Yes, this songs are popular right now but no, no, and no. They will only fill your thoughts with nonsense words which our beautiful minds don't need. Listen to songs with beautiful lyrics I can't suggest for you. For example love songs are sweet and romantic but not all of them are good for consumption. For example I like Adele's songs for this reason she deals with sad romantic tales and for the soft ones, yes those lyrics can make you cry but please don't take my word for it. Go and discover.
Number two,
Romantic books, I can hear some people groaning at the back. Calm down for a second.
Here a Wattpad, I still read romantic novels but guess what I screened those with erotic scenes. Yes, some of you may secretly enjoy reading them but my sisters they are wrong. It's just like listening to those immodest songs they have the same effect. It's a choice my darlings and choose to stop them. What do you read, same as above chose your books wisely. Screen them,
As the Muslims say, the first look is halal. I don't mean staring or reading line by line. A quick glance is enough to know don't decieve yourself.
Number Three,
Dressing.
We covered this at the previous chapter 😊
Good luck getting rid of this ungodly and immodest things. By God's grace/insha'Allah we will achieve our goals but it won't be easy.
