Chapter 45

"Wow, that was a harsh kid" He spoke patting Ajeel's hair but Ajeel slapped it away.

I will come back again. He said with a creepy smile as he left us alone that day. And just as he said, he came back just the next day.

"So, have you decided to come with me?" He is again smiling. Manik or Ajeel just couldn't trust him, so they again rejected him too harshly, and he left saying

"I will come back again" Again with a smile.

This continued for days and slowly Manik and Ajeel dropped their guards down as he started bringing food for them every single day.

And finally one day,

"We will come with you mister" Manik spoke and Ajeel nodded.

He smiled looking at them. His eyes were not smiling at all.

"That's VERY great to hear" He spoke and took them with him in his carriage.

They quickly reached the end of the village where there is a large mansion located.

"This is my house" He spoke and Manik and Ajeel got surprised.

"Let's go inside" He spoke, holding Manik's hand. Manik and Ajeel looked at each other before they silently followed him.

As they entered inside. Their eyes flittered with all the glamour and beauty of the valuable items and stones which are used to decorate the pillars and couches and tables etc. He is rich. Is the only thing that both Manik and Ajeel thought.

"Want to eat something?" He asked and walked to the kitchen, removing his suit.

The whole house was too quiet.

"Are you living alone, mister?" Manik asked. The person smiled at Manik and replied.

"Yes, I am"

"What's your name, mister?"

"Call me June"

A few days passed,

Manik and Ajeel got comfortable in the house. They got fed and given new clothes. Their stomachs are full, but they didn't drop their guards yet. They used to observe June secretly. The thing they observed for the past few days is that June disappears every day at midnight for 3 hours. They don't know where he will go. But he comes back after 3 hours and sleeps in his room peacefully. His eyes will be red.

They are curious, but they didn't want to make it too obvious, so they stayed low, observing one thing at a time.

One night,

The three of them are sitting at a dining table and eating their dinner.

"Do you think he will disappear today too?" Manik whispered

"Who knows?" Ajeel whispered back.

"Where do you think he is going?"

"What if he is not a human?" Ajeel whispered.

"Then do you think he is feeding us so that he can eat us later?" Manik whispered back.

"I don't know, but I certainly will kill him first before he does" Ajeel whispered.

"What are you two whispering about?" June asked, looking at them confused.

"Mister, where do you disappear at night every day?" Ajeel couldn't hold his curiosity in and asked for it straight.

"How do you know that?" His voice changed.

"We...we just saw it accidentally when we are out to pee" Manik stuttered.

Manik is not as brave or courageous as Ajeel.

"Didn't I tell you to stay in your room at night?" He spoke while keeping his head down.

"W...we are sorry" Manik mumbled.

"Why are you apologizing? We didn't do anything wrong" Ajeel spoke loudly.

"Mister, you should be the one to explain things properly or not apologize for not saying them to us" Ajeel spoke angrily.

"Why should I tell you? This is MY house and I have a right to go anywhere anytime I want. I don't need to tell my things to brats like you" He yelled.

"Your house? Yes very true. This is YOUR house, so you should be the one who has to stay here...ALONE. We will leave. Come, Manik" He spoke and got down from his chair and held manik's hand.

"STOP! Where do you think you are going?" June stood up, and his eyes are dark red.

"M--mister?" Manik is feeling scared.

"No one is leaving this house," He said and caught ajeel by his collar and raised him up in the air while holding manik's hand and pulled them with him.

"I didn't want to do this so soon, but you both leave me with no choice" He spoke while he walked into his room.

He stood in front of his bookshelf and pressed a button which is located inside the shelf. The bookshelf moved aside by itself, creating a space. There are steps.

"Leave us! You ******" Ajeel is cursing and struggling non-stop, while Manik is struggling too on the other side to let his hand free of his clutch.

He dragged them down the steps, and they reached a room which is completely dark. He switched on the lights and there was a woman lying in the middle of the room covered with glass. Her body has some wounds that turned green. They are old. That woman is as so white as her blood is completely drained.

She is a corpse. Her hair is turning gray.

Manik's face turned pale as he saw her from near as June dragged them near to that glass. Ajeel struggled to not look at her.

"Look at my lovely wife lying down there like a corpse while worthless people like you running around stuffing the food that should actually reach her!" He screamed.

"She is worthless than us if she is already dead" Ajeel spoke

"Shut up" He yelled and threw him to the wall. He hit the wall and fell down. His head is bleeding

"Ma-nik" and he slowly lost consciousness.

Ajeel slowly opened his eyes and saw that he got tied up. He saw Manik unconscious beside him while he was also tied up!

"Manik wake up" He yelled.

He is not waking up. While June entered the room with a saw in his hand.

"What the hell?" Ajeel couldn't find the right words to speak. He is trembling. His words are shaking.

"Now shall we begin!" He spoke with a smile on his face.

"Ma-nik" He mumbled.
