Chapter 6

Ashleys POV

I heard footsteps come towards the living room, I looked at my right and saw Archie with a beautiful woman behind him

"Hey Arch!" I said going towards him to hug him, I've gotten much more comfortable around him, and I think my social skills might be improving!

"Hello there! I'm Brenda, Archies mom! It's wonderful to meet you, you must be Ashley" Brenda said putting her hand out waiting for it to be shaken, I didn't do anything, so I guess my social skills didn't improve, my mom came behind me and gently hit my shoulder, so I swung my hand out and shook Brenda's

"Y-yes, y-you t-too" I said smiling

"So, shall we go have dinner" mom said winking at me, she's a life saver

"Of course, why not!" Brenda said as she started a conversation with my mom. We sat down at the table till suddenly Archie brought up the DNA test

"Ahem, as you know, Ashley and I have tooken a DNA test"

"Yes" our mom's replied I the same time

"Well, I've been wondering why our DNA is the same, who out of you both is our real mom?"

"Yes, I've been thinking the same thing, if Archie and I are both family, then who I our mom, and where is our dad?" I said getting up from my seat, wow, it's the first time I've spoken up like that

"Well, um, we, we aren't actually your real moms, you guys are, adopted, we're sorry we haven't told you before" mom said 

"You mean you guys knew eathother this WHOLE TIME" Archie said also getting up from his seat

"Um, I- we can explain, we-" Brenda started but I cut her off

"THERE'S NOTHING TO EXPLAIN! YOU GUYS HID THE TRUTH FROM US THIS WHOLE TIME" I said starting to break down, I left the table and ran to my room

"You guys are unbelievable" I heard Archie say going up the stairs

Archie knocked on my door

"Can I come in?" He said in a soft voice

"Um... o-ok" I said

"hey, I know its hard to handle, but we still have eachother"

"I know" I whispered putting my head on Archies shoulder

"I know..."
