Reg X Reader

Inspired by the quest "irredeemable friends" in the made in abyss game

Y/N was wandering around in the goblet of giant, until they saw a lost looking boy
He wasn't carrying a whistle and had mechanical arms

"Excuse me are you okay?"

The boy turned around in a defensive way.. "oh. A cave raider" he muttered

You repeated "who are you? Are you alright"

"..actually no. I've done something irredeemable.."

[FLASHBACK]

Riko was sharing her knowledge
" Look reg ! We can see an orb piercer from here !"

"Reg?"

Reg was gone
He slipped and fell down the platform

[End of flashback]

You nodded
"So you need to find back your friend"

The whistle-less boy nodded
"I'm reg by the way, I'll appreciate if you'd help me"

"I'm Y/N"

You jump

"Was that a creature ?"

No
That was reg's stomach

"Sorry ...I'll eat something right away so i don't pull you back"

"I got some food if you need- you take a bar out of your pocket, it's high in fat and calories, perfect for cave raiders

His eyes light up
"Really? I don't want to waste your food-"

You nod and hands him the cereal bar

Reg quickly eat " aren't you hungry ? I'd like to repay the favor- "

You hear noise and look behind you

A bunch of horncriers were ready to eat you two as a lunch

Reg gets up and tend his arm ready to use his incinerator

"Get back. I'm going to use my incinerator, after this I'll be out for about 2hours"

You look at reg and shake your head
"I can handle them, I'm a black whistle after all"
you take out your pickaxe and rush on them

"Understood." The robot then attack with you

After a few moment, they are all defeated

You two heard a scream
"REEG !!"
"RIKOO- YOU'RE OKAY!"
Reg suddenly screamed

The Blondie was indeed alright, in a higher platform
But those screams made a creature approach yous...

An orb piercer.

You backed "shoot, an orb piercer" you look around for an exit

Reg held you

"You were right. Now I'll use the incinerator"

"What if it don't end him ?"

"Before fainting I'll try to take you to another platform" he says quickly, preparing his arm and charging his attack

You held him tightly the blast of light caused you to close your eyes

When the incinerator stopped
The orb piercer was on the ground

"Quick ! Before I faint !"

Reg's arm extended to a higher platform you two got here quickly

You felt nauseous due to the curse but you didn't go too high for the bleeding to start
Reg then fainted in your arms

So that's what he meant by fainting ?
You made him lie down and checked for his breathing

He wasn't breathing
You didn't even think, and ""kissed"" him to lend him some air

Some moment passed--- and riko got back to you two
"Ooh am i interrupting something?" She says with a Smug face

UWAH ? "No it's not what it looks like?"

Blondie took out a notebook "how does reg's mouth feel ? Is it metallic or fleshy like a human's ?"

You stare at her with confusion

"Yeah he's a relic ! I'm studying him !"

A relic ? Which means.
He's not human ?
That's maybe why he wasn't breathing

After a while, reg woke up to you and riko talking

"Reg's a pretty cute boy isn't he~~" riko still had a smug face

"He-- no-- i mean-- kinda-"

Reg stared at you two, slightly blushing

"Reg !"
You hugged him, relieved that he woke up

Riko took her notepad out and wrote in it
"So reg is capable of feeling love huh- wonder if he can breed too- Reg can i touch your- "

Reg make a scared face
"NO NO NO DO NOT TOUCH IT"

Then reg mutters
"irredeemable riko. Irredeemable."

"Teheheheeee" Riko smiles innocently

Reg was looking kinda down
"It was a pleasure meeting you.."

" We'll maybe meet again ? I'm still a cave raider"

"Yeah ! We're bonded to the abyss !"

Reg then grab your hand almost crying
"Promise me to.. keep cave raiding.. so we'll see eatchother again"

You nod and smiled at him

"promise !"
