He had written down a few quotes that sounded quite nice to him. Meaning that is simple caught his attention because of the meaning behind them. 'One for the future, one for the game' 'Being different isn't wrong. Soon the time will come that people will envy us.' 'I don't have any map to tell me if this road is right, there's no way to go up. What I've been through a maze.' and 'Why are you talking like you know me though I don't even know myself.'
Then suddenly he had a complete new idea for a song. He was thinking of a party song describing that being an 'outcast' is actually special. Instead of writing lyrics, he decided to write the storyline the song should have.
'Someone is an outcast, a college outcast. They are good at studying and don't go out a lot. Being interested in something that's not usual for a medical student, they are made fun off. One day they decide to go on a trip and meet people who are just like them. They have fun together and they have the happiesst time of their lives. They realize being different is fine and sometimes it's even better to be oddinary than to be ordinary.'
He made a picture of it and sent it to Y/n. She responded very quickly and she was very excited about his idea. He got motivated by her words and started moving his fingers on the keyboard of the computer to add notes using all kinds of instruments.
He rolled back and forth from the keyboard to the little beat machine to the guitar before making his way back to the mixtable. While was mixing it all into a song, he wrote the lyrics at the same time. Y/n had said that not thinking of the lyrics beforehand could be more meaningful. Even though it had seemd like he didn't care about the advices of her, he sure listened to them and tried to apply it as best as he could.
He recorded his own voice with it so that the artist would know how to sing it when they would have to record it. He was sure this was gonna be a good song. Okay maybe he wasn't sure about it but he hoped that it would be.
He stayed in the studio until very late in the night. He just had to make sure that it was good for him. If he liked it, he could argue about why it should be used as a song for an idol group. Besides he also kind of wanted to make sure that Y/n would like it, since her advice had been a big help.
"This is it." he said as he was completely done with making the song. It was 4 am. He checked it once more before saving it up. He made sure to make a copy onto his mobile, just in case the system would be down when he'd need it. Wouldn't be the first time it had happened to him. He had also put the other three songs onto his mobile. He just didn't want to risk it.
He turned the computer off, unplugged the cables of the keyboard, the guitar and the mixer. He closed the curtain and turned off the light before walking out of the studio, locking the door with the key. He felt proud of himself. And with that feeling he walked to the dorms. After a long day in the studio, he had been longing for his bed.
