Adventures of a Cat-Shark

The Outside World

Sharko looked outside. The sun's beams rushed over her, so she put her paw on the top of her forehead. Sharko's paw did block the sun, but it was annoying to keep holding up. She started walking forward. After walking in the grass for around 1 hour and 30 minutes, she saw a road with vehicles traveling across it. She peered inside a car and saw a.. human? Sharko didn't realize that she was the only anthropomorphic animal until now. Nobody really saw her, they were traveling 65 after all. She remembered a memory about hitchhiking. Sharko put out her thumb when a vehicle passed by. She kept trying for at least 30 minutes while traveling along the roadside. After a bit she decided to take a break and sat on the grass and drank her water she brought. Sharko rested for a bit, then got up and walked along the roadside again. She kept sticking out her thumb, trying to get a ride somewhere. She has a decent amount of money from the wallets in the lockers.

After another hour passed someone with a silver truck stopped by and said, "The hell are you?"
Sharko replied, "I'm an anthropomorphic animal I guess?"
The unknown person said, "Oh, you a furry? Pretty realistic fursuit, man."
Sharko said, "It's not a fursuit, it's actually real. I assume I was kidnapped and then tested on."
"Hm. I dunno if that's real, but hop in," said the man.
Sharko said, "Okay. What's your name though?'
The unknown man said, "Tucker. What about you?"
Sharko said, "I don't really know. How about Sharko?" Sharko got in and buckled her seat belt. Tucker started driving.
Tucker said, "Alright, I'm going to a gas station. It's where I work. We're understaffed, so you might wanna ask to get hired there."
Sharko said, "Alright!! I'll ask your manager to get hired tomorrow I guess!"
Tucker said, "Welp. Since you supposedly escaped a lab I assume you have no where to stay?"
She replied, "No.."
Tucker said, "Hm. I suppose you could crash at my place until you get stable?"
Sharko replied, "Really?! Thank you so much!"
He replied, "Don't mention it." After 5 more minutes, they arrived at the gas station. They both got out of the truck and went inside the gas station. Tucker said, "You can go ask the manager to get hired. Her office is over there to the left second door."
Sharkl replied, "Okay. Thank you."
Tucker said, "No problem.

Sharko walked her way into the manager's office. She said, "Hello, I was wondering if I could work here? Is there an application or something I have to sign?.."
The manager replied, "Hm. We are understaffed... Mainly today and fridays.. I suppose you could work here. I'll get someone to do a quick interview with you."
Sharko replied, "Wow, okay!" After 20 minutes of waiting, the manager walked into where she was waiting.
The manager said, "We don't really have an interviewer right now, so I will interview you. First off, why do you want this job?'
Sharko replied, "I need the money and I don't have a job currently."
The manager replied, "Since I forgot to ask, what is your name? My name is Lisa."
Sharko replied, "My name is Sharko." After several more questions, Sharko got the job and worked Tuesdays, Thurdays, and Fridays.
So far so good, she thought.
