"Clary, come on, we gotta go," Simon urged.

The girl grabbed the brunettes hand, "Simon, I think Jace and Mason can help us,"

"What?" He turned his attention onto Aspen, who gave him a regretful look.

"I'm sorry," She sighed, indicating that she agreed with her sister.

"Come on," Clary led the boy to the church.

"How do we know this Mick Jagger-looking guy and box-dyed blonde are even gonna try—,"

"My hair is actually naturally blonde," Mason interjected. "And Mundane, we do not have the time,"

"Come on, Simon, let's go," Aspen said.

Jace opened the door to the church, the bright lights slightly blinding Aspen. Seeing the perplexed look on Simon's face, Jace rolled up the sleeve of his jacket. Pulling out his stele and drawing a rune on his forearm. A soft hiss leaving his lips. Simon looked between the twins.

"I know, trust me," Clary whispered.

"He's, like burning himself," He let out, Jace suddenly grabbing his hand. "Buddy, I'm not your type, man. I don't even..." at his sudden lack of talking, Aspen could tell that Simon's vision was starting to become clear to what everyone else in the room saw.

"Where are we?" He stammered. "What the hell? Clary, Aspen, is there a war going on that I don't know about?"

"There is now," Jace smirked.

"And I think our mother's at the center of it," Aspen uttered, following Jace and Mason to the main room.

"You coming?" Jace called out.

"What is this place?" the brunette boy asked. "There's a lot of gear in here. What'd they do, rob a tech shop?"

As the five made their way over to the screen, Jace began tapping away, pulling one image to another screen. A video displayed two cops knocking on the church's doors.

"So this cold-blooded killer is gonna help us?"

"Opposed to a peace-loving killer?" Mason snarked.

"They're not killers. They're protecting us,"

"More specifically, you two, "Jace raised his eyebrows.

"It's sort of our thing," Mason continued.

"Your thing? You guys have a thing?"

"They mean a Shadowhunter thing. That's what they do, protecting humans from demons," Aspen explained, hoping Simon wasn't getting the wrong idea.

"Demons, right. That makes perfect sense, 'cause there are demons running all around New York,"

Jace continued type away on the screen, "That is the first correct thing you've said all day,"

"NYPD," The officer spoke from the video.
