Aspen fluttered in and out of consciousness as she could faintly hear her name being called. It wasn't until she felt her body being violently shaken that she woke up.
The red head rubbed her groggy eyes, "Clary? What are you doing?"
"Come on, let's go! We need to go talk to Jace,"
"Talk to him about what?"
"I had a dream and mom was there. This guy was reaching inside of our heads and basically ripping our brains out. But mom...she called this guy Magnus, and Simon overheard that Vampire Camille say his name was Magnus Bane. Don't you see—this could be the answer to everything,"
Clary tugged her sister further out of bed as Aspen pulled her hair into a ponytail, loose tendrils falling out in the front.
Maneuvering their way through the institute, they were finally able to find Jace's room. But when they opened the door they were met with a shirtless Jace beating up a dummy.
"Jace, we need to talk to you about something, it's really—" Clary said, basically choking on her words at the end once she realized Jace's state. "Oh..."
"Sorry, she really should've knocked first," Aspen scorned her sister.
"Let me just grab a shirt," He smirked.
"Yeah," Clary let out, adding a role to her eyes in a way of saying "if you have to,". Which Aspen picked up on, causing her to elbow her sister slighting as she let out a chuckle. She folded her arms over her sweatshirt, and it wasn't until then that she realized that she wasn't wearing a bra, which she scolded herself for.
"So what's up? You guys wanted to see me?"
"Yeah, um...I need you to tell us everything you know about Magnus Bane,"
"Magnus bane is the High Warlock of Brooklyn, why?"
Clary stepped forward, "Because that vampire Camille, practically accused him of stealing out memories,"
"Where did you hear that?"
"When Simon told Camille someone took our memories back at the Hotel DuMort she blamed Magnus Bane,"
"Right, and you believe your little mundane friend?" Jace scoffed.
Aspen let out a scoff of her own, "She believes Simon,"
"Besides, I keep having these dreams where this Magnus guy is with our mom and she tells him to protect us," Clary stated.
"You mean, like, memory fragments? Has this ever happened to you?" Jace turned to Aspen.
She shook her head, "No, not really. I mean the night that we met you guys, I bumped into a guy at the Pandemonium and I had this flash. I realize now that the guy in my memory was a warlock. But it was gone before I could register anything,"
