Lightbulb x Reader

Side notes: You're a object in this chapter, there are cabins, you "coincidentally" just happen to share a cabin with Lightbulb, the setting is before season 3, all the contestants have phones, and you and Lightbulb have bunk beds

Plot thingy: Y/N, has been a contestant in inanimate insanity since the beginning of season 1. During that time in inanimate insanity, you developed a crush on Lightbulb. You've been having these thoughts about her very often, and you show nervousness around her. Today is the day that you will confess your love for her.

Y/N POV

I sighed as I slowly woke up. I groaned in anger as I saw the bright sun, almost blinding me. "Hey, roomie!" Lightbulb says as she walks into our cabin. I blushed at the sudden nickname. "Wha-oh hey Lightbulb..!" I say, half asleep. "Sorry if I woke ya up.." Lightbulb apologized. "Don't worry! It's fine." I told her. A few minutes later I smelled food, so I got out of bed. I saw Lightbulb making breakfast, I blushed as I saw how cute she looked. "Is there something wrong, Y/N?" Lightbulb asked me looking confused. I realized I was staring at her, lost in my thoughts as I slowly snapped back to reality. "Hm? Oh, sorry, Lightbulb. I got lost in my thoughts there, heh." I said, nervously. She then went back to making breakfast. I sit down on a chair and took out my phone. I was on Twitter and I saw a picture that Lightbulb posted, it was a picture of me and her. I smiled because it brought back a memory. I liked the post and followed her. "Hey, Y/N! Breakfast's ready!" Lightbulb said as I ran to the kitchen. Lightbulb had made *insert your favorite food*. I let out a gasp and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back. We were hugging for a few minutes but then I realized I was hugging Lightbulb tightly, I blushed and let go. "I'm sorry for hugging you too tight I-" I apologized but then Lightbulb cut me off. "It's okay! Don't worry about it, roomie!" Lightbulb gently tells me. I giggled and blushed as I began to hug her again. I pulled away blushing madly. Lightbulb took notice to it and put two and two together. She began to smirk and wink at me. I was so confused but so flustered.

Y/N POV

I walked to my desk where most of my stuff was. I pulled out a piece of paper and a envelope. I got out a red pen and began writing. 'Dear, Lightbulb. I don't know how to say this so instead I'm going to write it in letter form. Anyways, I have been having these thoughts about you, and I've felt nervous around you. I have blushed and have felt so happy around you since basically the beginning of inanimate insanity. So, will you be..my girlfriend?' I sigh as a finish the letter, and I put a little heart next to it. I almost forgot to put my signature but I wrote it at the corner with a little dash. I folded up the letter and put it in the envelope. I put a heart and a star sticker on the front of the envelope and sat it on Lightbulb's bed.

Lightbulb POV

It was time to go to sleep. I go to my bed and saw a letter that had my name on it. Curious, I opened it. A shocked expression formed on my face. I blushed and smiled at Y/N, who was asleep. I gave them a little kiss on their forehead and got into bed. I drifted off to sleep, thinking of Y/N.

Y/N POV

I woke up to someone knocking on me and Lightbulb's cabin door. It was Mephone. We were late for the contest. I gasped and woke Lightbulb up. "Huh..oh- what's up, love?" Lightbulb said, half asleep. I blushed. Mephone made a disgusted noise as he left the room. "We're late for the contest!" I yelled, shaking Lightbulb worriedly. "Woah, woah. Calm down there, Y/N." Lightbulb told me, in a gentle, soft voice. I inhaled and exhaled repeatedly until I felt calmer. It took a few minutes but I eventually felt calm. "Okay! We have to get to the contest now." Lightbulb reminded me as we ran out of the door.

Y/N POV

I walk into my cabin, tired and exhausted. A little bit later Lightbulb came into our cabin. Lightbulb noticed me on the couch, watching TV. Lightbulb came over to the couch and sat next to me. "Y/N?" Lightbulb said holding me in her arms. "Yes?" I responded, wondering what she was gonna say. "About that letter you put on my bed..I will gladly be your girlfriend!!" Lightbulb told me in an excited voice. "Wait, really?" I asked looking up at her. "Mhm!" Lightbulb tells me. I look up at her and kiss her. When we pulled away from the kiss I was blushing madly. I never thought she would actually be my girlfriend, I said to myself as I snuggle up in her arms.

"I guess we are bright together aren't we?"
*insert knee slap*
