BLUE:

——————————————————————-

I stared in confusion at Isabella as she now let go of my hold once I was steady, "h-how?" I asked softly but innocently, they didn't answer. They immediately walked away as I stared down in bewilderment, that couldn't be possible.

I should had hit the floor, I should have.

I shook off the thoughts, it could have been a coincidence and she could be really fast is all. Nothing is that serious blue, you are overthinking it.
Once I walked out of the doors, I was greeted by the familiar car of Derrick, I ran towards the car almost immediately with a smile. Wanting nothing more than to ramble about how my day went, I hoped he would just be excited about it too.

"Hey kiddo." The man spoke out as he buckled me into the seat, I smiled back at him before starting my ramble. "Hi! Did you know that, I got a book today. The nice lady said I was special, and- and I also possibly made some friends but I don't know yet. Also I did art class and it was so cool! I even tried pizza, it has a really weird name but it was really good." I stated shyly, once I realized how fast I had been rambling I became slightly embarrassed at my own actions. I didn't want to make him mad or uncomfortable, that wouldn't be nice.

"That sounds amazing, I'm glad you had a good day. Emily wouldn't stop texting me that she was worried about you." He joked making me giggle slightly, "yeah I know, she called me and texted me to make sure I was everytime my class was over." I stated, smiling slightly at the thought of Emily being put at ease with my reassurance.

"Speaking of, I'm on my lunch right now for work. Are you hungry? I have about an hour before I have to get back, so you are gonna go with Emily to work." He stated making me nod slightly, I didn't mind either way I hated being alone anyways and they knew that. I felt appreciated that they would go out of their way to make sure I felt safe, I didn't deserve them.

"I'm kinda hungry, just not a lot. I ate a lot at lunch." I spoke softly trying not to make him sad but he simply nodded with a look of reassurance, I relaxed as I saw his expression as we turned on some music.

"How about some Starbucks?" He asked making me tilt my head, once he saw my confusion, he almost immediately answered for me. "It's a coffee place, but they also have Hot Cocoa and food." He explained making me smile and nod hesitantly, I remember the hot Cocoa that Emily made for me my first night I came, it tasted amazing but made me really sleepy.

I hoped it didn't make me sleepy, I didn't like hospitals much so I wanted to stay awake in case anything had happened. Once we arrived, Derrick helped me out of his car since it was a fairly large truck. Even getting in was the hardest with my small frame, he held my hands as I jumped down making him hold me steady as i wobbled slightly.

"Alright you ready?" He asked making me nod with a smile, we walked inside to the sound of soft chatter and a loud buzzing noise from a machine making me jump and hide behind Derrick. "W-What was that?" I asked in a slightly scared tone making him chuckle slightly, "it's a coffee machine, they make espresso in there too so it makes loud noises to make it." He stated making me nod in understanding, once it was my turn I looked up at Derrick nervously while trying to understand the menu.

"Hi! What can I get for you?" The woman spoke sweetly, she had soft ginger hair in a bun with a really pretty face, she looked like a princess!

"Can I have a Trenta Black coffee with two shots of espresso and a turkey provolone pesto sandwich." He spoke out then they both looked looked towards me, I shrunk down making me look curiously at the juices. "C-can I have hot apple juice please a-and a cake pop?" I asked softly as the woman nodded with a sweet tone. "Of course lovey, anything else?"

Derrick smirked before looking at the woman, "actually can we make that two cake pops?" He asked giving me a playful wink, I smiled as she nodded before we waited for our order.

"Don't tell Emily, she would kill me but she doesn't have to know. You deserve it for doing so well on your first day." He stated making me nod with a bounce to my feet, we finally got our food and walked out while I ate the cake pops on the way to the hospital. Eventually, crumbs and frosting were all over my face as I sipped on my hot chocolate and looked out the window. "Do- do you and Emily care about me?" I asked softly, I watched as the trees passed by while he looked at me with a curious gaze.

"Of course we do, you deserve everything after what you have been through. You are the best thing that ever happened to us kiddo, we care about you times one million." I creased my brows at his last words, turning towards him as he ate his sandwich.

"Times, One million?" I asked making him nod towards me, "it means that we won't ever stop, one million is a very big number so If we doubled that it wouldn't even compare to how much we care!" He gestured making me nod with a smile at his statement, wow nobody has ever cared that much before. "I- I care about you times one million too." I stated with a proud smile as we arrived at the hospital, he helped me down and held my hand as we walked towards the hospital.

My face and hands covered in cake and chocolate as I threw away the empty cup, "Emily!" I stated running towards her with an excited smile, she held a confused gaze as I ran straight into her arms while hugging her tightly. "I care about you times one million!" I stated proudly as she smiled softly, she hugged back as Derrick came up to us.

"I care about you too sweetheart, honey why is there cake and chocolate all over Blue's face?" She asked unimpressed as he gave his wife an innocent smile.
He nervously laughed and backed up towards his car seeing the glare from his wife, "gonna be late for work, love you!" He spoke fast before running towards his car.

She looked back down at me as I held an unknowing and innocent smile, she smirked before holding my hand and gesturing me towards an empty room.
"Alright honey, My friend Dr.Grey is going to stay with you I have about half an hour left, I'll be back." She stated with a smile as I nodded once a woman with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes walked in, she was really pretty. She almost looked out of a movie!

"I'm Dr.Grey, what's your name?" The woman asked as I smiled lightly, "blue." I stated softly as she nodded with a hesitant smile, "do you need help with homework?" She asked making me shake my head.

"Already finished it." I stated softly as she looked almost surprised, I smiled sheepishly while looking down at the table while picking at my fingers.
We mostly just talked about random things before Emily came back, "are you ready for your classification test?" She asked softly making me confused, "I-I thought I wasn't supposed to yet." I asked softly making Emily nod with her gaze onto me.

"Well, the hospital would like it to be earlier so we know to help accommodations needed for the future if needed. Everyone thinks it would be a lot more beneficial if we did it sooner." She says waiting for my answer on the topic, I shrugged but nodded at her answer. It wouldn't be so bad to get it earlier, what's the worst that could happen?

I walked down the hallways with wonder, staring at the large and bright lights as Emily held my hand so I wouldn't get distracted and loose them. I didn't really pay attention to what they were saying but when I was put in a helmet in a dimmed room, I looked at Emily hesitantly in fear.

She gave me a small look of reassurance as she sat me in a chair, "alright, I'm gonna be right in that small room on the other side watching you okay? You can see me right there and I'm not going anywhere, this helmet won't hurt it's just gonna tell us what's happening in your brain, when it does it's gonna feel like a click in your brain and see if you act any differently okay?" I nodded hesitantly at her words, watching her swiftly walk out of the room.

At first I felt normal, when all of a sudden the word felt like it was smaller, my mind feeling fuzzy, and eventually I frowned while tearing up. It was like a click before I started sobbing softly, "e'my!" I cried for the woman who was closest to provide me comfort, once the helmet turned off she walked straight towards me with some other doctors.

"Your okay honey, it's all over. That was so scary huh?" She cooed as I nodded through sobs, I heard gentle mumbles as she lifted me onto her hip while I hid my face into her shoulder.
