You had gotten up at 6 to get ready for the day as nerves shot through you while you remembered james would be stopping by to help you. You hopped out of bed quickly checking the weather for today on your phone

It would be a warm sunny day so you went with shorts and a t-shirt bringing a light jacket just in case. You grab everything you needed as you walked out and headed towards your car.

You drove towards the store as you had remembered you needed to grab some things before you head over to the house.

You quickly got out of the car and headed towards the store humming along the way as you walked through the aisles mumbling the list to yourself as to remember what you have to grab

You finally found the aisle as a bright smile adorned your face "thank god" you walked along the aisle as you grabbed a bag of pebbles along with some trash bags and walking away after settling it under your arms

You grabbed some snacks on your way to the register knowing you would be at the house for much longer than you wanted to be also grabbing a pack of band aids as you got to the register

The person starting scanning the items as you grabbed out your wallet waiting for her to say the total of everything "32.59" she said quietly as you smiled handing her the cash quickly as you looked at your watch 'damnit' you thought sighing 'I'm late thats embarrassing' you shook your head as she handed you the change

you smiled politely at her grabbing your things and quickly dashing off calling out a thanks as you jogged out

You quickly slammed the stuff into the passenger seat and you put on your seatbelt and started the car up swearing to yourself for not leaving earlier

You had (as quick as possible) finally arrived at the house seeing james sitting on the steps bouncing his foot up and down looking slightly nervous.
You shut off the car and hopped out quickly running around the car to grab your things again "so sorry I'm late" you frantically spoke out as you hurried over to the door fumbling with the keys

"I totally wasn't looking at the clock and then when i woke up it was already 5:30 and then i had to get dressed and i went to the store to grab some things i needed and then i realized i was late to meet you and just-" you turned around to face him a little out of breathe

You made eye contact your eyes softened as he was smiling softly at you from the steps you suddenly were at a lose for words as your face flushed slightly

You must've looked so silly. You had no had time to do your hair so it looked all frizzy and odd and you didnt even need to check your clothes to know you could definitely see the miss matched socks you threw on this morning...you were in such a hurry

You chuckled a little out of embarrassment quickly looking away from him putting the key into the door quickly and opening it looking back at him

"I- uh I'm sorry for being late really i am" you laughed softly setting down the things beside the rickety old door as the pebble kept it from swinging closed "i must look so funny right now. This is embarrassing" you shook your head as he was already standing near the door "i think you look pretty" he replied softly.

you Completely paused and looked up at him your face flushing even more so than before

He even looked a little shocked by his words as his eyes went slightly wide as his face went a slight shade of pink he stuttered on his words as you smiled up at him he cleared his throat folding his arms as he looked down at his feet "how are your hands? Yknow from when you fell yesterday and everything"
