Chapter 13: Dragon's past

Lev's POV

"Dad? Dad, where are you!?" I shout, "Akeldama please!" It was July 10th, 777x. 3 days after the dragons disappeared. I was walking for hours in the forest. All the trees were covered with magical blue leaves. They were called the ice blues. Making things glow...Little 11 year me started to break down..Did Akeldama leave me? Did I do something wrong?! I stopped walking and sat down in front of a huge ice blue tree. There was a little hole at the bottom that a 10 year old could fit through. So I crawled inside, layed down and closed my eyes. Hoping, it was all a nightmare..

~5 minutes later~

"E-Excuse me?" A kind but squeaky voice said, "Are y-you alright?" I open my eyes to see a blonde girl, about my age but shorter by 3 inches and wearing a pink dress, looking at me with tears forming in her eyes. I sat up and nodded.

"Yeah but, are you okay?" I touched her check.

"Huh?"

"You're crying.." She gasped slightly and dried her eyes.

"Y-Yeah! Sorry, I'm fine.." I frowned.

"What's wrong?" She looked into my eyes and bit her lips.

"My mother.." I tilted my head a little.

"Did she leave you? Are you trying to look for her like how I'm searching for my father?" I asked the blond. She looked at the ground..

"She's gone.." I pulled her into a hug..She held onto my worn out shirt and sobbed.

"Hey, I'll help you in any way I can..I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.." I sighed and held her closer, "I'm here.." The blonde looked up to stare into my eyes.

"Thank you.." She sighed and pulled away, "My name is Lucy, Lucy Heartfilia," Lucy put her hand out for me to shake it.

"My name is Lev, Lev Akelda.." I smiled a little and shook her hand, "I'm 11 years old.."

"I, myself, just turned 11!"

"What? When?"

"July 1st 767x!"

"Cool! My birthday is September 4th 766x!"

"What? You're older than me!?" I chuckled.

"Why else would I be taller than a shorty like you?"

"I'm not short, this is an appropriate height for a 11 year old female! You're just too tall!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!-" Then, a male male voice shouted..

"LUCY! GET BACK HERE!" Lucy turned her head so quickly that she must have been dizzy. She turns back to me and whispers.

"Meet me here again at dawn tomorrow.." I nodded and watched her get up and run to the voice. I sniffed the air and smelled the fear coming off of her. I growled a little and started to follow the smell..The man's smell was like leather mixed with anger. I hid behind everything I could to stay out of sight and glared forward. The man was blonde and wearing a brown suit. Lucy ran up to him and bowed. Thanks to my dragon hearing, I was able to hear the conversation.

"Lucy! What on earth were you doing in the forest!? A lady would never do that! Let alone get their dresses all dirty!" She looked at him and cried out.

"I'm sorry sir! I just went for an evening walk!"

"'Evening walk' my ass! I know you're up to something. Ever since your mother died, you've been strange!"

"B-But daddy-"

"NO buts!" He shouted and slapped her face, "Go to your room and study on how to be a lady! Don't come into my office until 10. I'll be working.." Lucy nodded.

"Yes sir!" She ran past him and into the HUGE house behind them. 'I should follow her..' I thought to myself..I crawled on the outside of the bushes so that the man wouldn't see me. I watch as Lucy runs into the house. I quickly use my dragon slayer magic to travel inside.

"Sound dragon, Musical travel.." Once I said my art, my body started to move at a high rate into the home. But I know it's not enough.. "Sound Dragon, deaf mode.." I whispered..This allowed me to fully disappear and I won't be able to make a sound unless I wanted too later on. As soon as I got into the house, the doors had shut behind me, leaving Lucy alone..Crying..

"T-This is my fault!" Lucy said to herself as she fell to her knees, "I'm t-the reason why m-mommy is gone.." My face saddened..All I could do was watch until the right timing..Lucy got up, whipped her tears and ran straight towards her room. So I ran right behind her, not close but enough distances to hear her..I watched her run into her room and I thought to myself that this is the right moment to show myself..So I stopped my magic and hugged Lucy from behind, this startled her..

"Hey..Lucy it's me! Lev!" Lucy turned around to face me. Her breathing was steady and she smiled with relief.

But then she freaks out, "What are you doing here!?" She whispered, "You're not supposed to be in here! You can get caught and in trouble!"

"So what?" I whispered back, "Lu I know we just met but, it sounds to me that you're in pain here," I pointed out her heart which made Lucy flinch a bit..

"S-So?.."

"I want to help you get rid of that pain," I said to her, I put out my hand and said, "Let's be friends!" She smiled softly once again..

"Okay! Sounds amazing to me!"

Chapter 14 will be very late, I haven't had any ideas come to me and I'm loosing motivation to writing this story. I might end this soon. ;)
