Seo-Yun and Ryung-Gu walked through the lively streets, with the dark starry sky above them. Neither of them said anything, comfortable enough to walk in silence, Seo-Yun hadn't moved to take Ryung-Gu's coat off as she melted into its warmth.
"What's your favourite colour?" Ryung-Gu snapped his gaze to Seo-Yun at the random question with raised brows as she looked at him expectingly.
"Huh?" Ryung-Gu questioned, Seo-Yun rolled her eyes before giving him a pointed look.
"What's your favourite colour?" She repeated, Ryung-Gu proceeded to furrow his brows and slowly shrugged.
"Blue...Why do you ask?" Seo-Yun hummed in approval of his answer. She looked at him with a smile, something she noticed she did a lot around him.
"Because, even though we knew each other in our past, even though it was briefly, and we've worked together for centuries. I still don't know much about you besides what is in your file." Seo-Yun explained, Ryung-Gu nodded but stayed silent for a moment before peering at the woman beside him. He dug his hands further into his pant pockets as they continued walking.
"What's your favourite colour?" He awkwardly asked, not used to asking these questions, no matter how basic and childish they may seem. Seo-Yun thought for a moment before grinning at him.
"Yellow." Seo-Yun firmly stated, Ryung-Gu looked at her with raised brows, surprise filling his eyes causing Seo-Yun to chuckle at his reaction. Ryung-Gu didn't know what he expected her answer to be, but it wasn't that.
"Yellow?" He questioned and Seo-Yun nodded.
"Out of all the colours known, why yellow?" Seo-Yun shrugged her shoulders, her own gloved hands seeking extra warmth in Ryung-Gu's coat pockets.
"When I was younger, before my mother and I lived in the village. There used to be this enormous field of sunflowers that my mother used to take me to, she would chase me through the field and we would spend hours upon hours there. I would end up with sunflowers riddled in my hair and dirt all over my clothes and face." Seo-Yun reminisced, Ryung-Gu looked at her as she spoke, her smile faltering slightly in sadness but Seo-Yun shook her head softly and her bright smile returned as she looked back at him.
"But I was safe, I was happy. That's why I chose yellow." Seo-Yun concluded, Ryung-Gu gazed at her silently not knowing what to say. Seo-Yun could see his struggle and grinned before nudging his shoulder with her own.
