Chan POV

Dark, black, clouds formed up above as I watched the horsemen prepare the black and gold armor that matched with mine before placing it on the animal. Changbin's, Hyunjin's, and Minho's armor was also being prepared but with more black than gold. Our kingdom's flags were handed to knights with the least training, their pure purpose to showcase our kingdom before being trampled on the battle field. Other knights being handed cheaply made and mass produced weapons. Really it didn't matter about them dying or not, the only way we'd win this war was if I brought Felix's head back home. All their army would only retreat leaving us with an easy win.

If only it was that easy.

Felix POV

I worriedly watched the clouds above, the high chance of downpour which could result in more problems on my behalf. Especially since our side of the battle field was downhill leaving all run off and mud to leave unstable ground for my army.
Of course I'm that unlucky, maybe I'm really destined to die out there today.

"What's with the long face Lix?" Jisung spoke as he walked up to me with the armor that mostly matched mine.
"If...if I were to die today...would you revenge me?" Jisung's mouth opened and closed a few times before a single word came out.
"No." Eh. What? Does the world really hate me this much?
"I won't have to because you won't die."
Of course, of course Jisung would say that.
"Why are you so confident in the idea I won't?" I wanted to live my life and keep going after this war but maybe that just wasn't for me.
Maybe my life did end today.
"I just have that gut feeling that something way different then we expect will happen today."

I could see Chan's army decked out in black and gold. Him in the front sitting tall on his horse with his helmet sitting in his hands. I shook as thunder boomed above the empty field. Flashes of pale purple lightning traveled in streaks across the darkening sky. Sheets of rain falling to the right of both of us.
"Long time no see Chan." I mouthed to the male that sat on his jet black horse only a few hundred meters away.
"Long time no see Felix."

And at that moment the rain poured down on us.
