Beams of light sweep through the dark hull of the ship. icicles hang from every available surface. Dr. Jacqueline Hayden watches her step, as to make sure she doesn't accidentally step on a dead body. She is exploring a plane wreck in the arctic, it has been dated to world war two. this ship is believed to be the very same one that Captain America crashed, but Dr.Hayden is very sceptical about that story.
,She comes across a door, but it is frozen shut. "hey, can I get some help here?" she calls, her voice distorted by the mask they are all forced to wear due to the harsh conditions of the expedition. several of her colleagues come jogging over, looking for some excitement. Needless to say, this expedition hasn't been the most eventful one.
Among the responders is Dr.Greene. "what is it?" He asks. "I need some help opening this door. It's frozen shut." the scientists nod and get to work hacking at the door. Just as she feels her arms about to give out, the door starts to slowly give way, the falls suddenly with a thud. "Oh gross," she mutters when a dead body is immediately visible.
This room looks to be the cockpit, which is what the team is looking for. Score! "Guys, I found our room!" Dr.Hayden calls to the others. They all come running to the door, but Dr. Hayden is still the first to the body. It's decked out in a familiar spangled suit, and carrying a familiar round shield. "Is that..."
"Captain America?" Another scientist finishes. The team stands there in awe until Dr. Hayden claps them back to attention."Well, what are we waiting for? Let's bring him back!" The others nod and one helps her lift him up, and they carry him back to the main room where there's a table. As she puts the frozen body down, she notices something extremely odd. it's almost like there's a slow heartbeat in his chest.she feels him more closely, and it's definitely there. his heart is beating. Faintly, but it's beating.
"Hey! This guy's still alive!" She shouts.
