The unnecessary circumstances in life is utterly unnecessary. Just like how Felix is, the number of times he pass by he asks me if I am okay or do I need anything or not. I know I chose him as my Beta but now after the superposition of him being my mate and equal in everything just overlaps the concept of the situation.

Earlier he guarded me because of certain responsibility, now he does to protect his mate. I take a huge sigh as I walk behind him.

People still looks at me like I am the villain but it doesn't matter. All the main course in my life is just to assemble power. I look at Felix as my wolf howls happily as if there wasn't a breakdown she had earlier.

Whatever!

It's not like I fell for Sawyer. All I wanted from the beginning was to make him realise the power I had but the main thing I wanted to do was to kill him slowly through wolfbane, few drops were already stored in his body just for a few months he would have met his demise and I, the kingdom. Anyway, I had done my job.

Ezekiel looks at me like I am the villain. Probably, I am. After all, since the beginning of this story they were and now the roles have been reversed and I am happy to be playing the role that everyone despises about.

"Ouch." My forehead clashes against Felix's back not knowing when we stopped.

A spark of electricity shoots between us. He turns back and offers a grateful smile. "All the best for your training." I appear to be tall and stiff acting like I want to choose the good list in order to impress him but all I wanted was a corner in the world left to let me sleep  in silence.

Father stands beside Amy who cowers back as soon as I come. Ezekiel looks at his mate with sympathy. When did the bastard learn sympathy?

"Let's start."

one week later:

My body lunges forward as I strip down from the force I used earlier. "Fucking shit."

I stand in the broad daylight with Amy behind me and I again do a fantastic job to control my power and use it to form a barrier. After multiple efforts it formed only to break down easily.

I again tried. "Fucking shit." The barrier again breaks. My full black eyes glare at Amy. "Don't tell me you offered a poor task of assigning shitty work to me."

She frantically shakes her head. "You can do it. I have full trust on you."

I look front. "Even I did. Only for you to stomp on it."

"I am sorry." How can I forgive her when I couldn't forgive my bullies?

Elias, one of the bullies was killed by me last week. The gas cylinder burst in his house which I made it. Perks of having black magic.

I shake my head and once again focussed on the job and with blood pouring from my nose I finally made a barrier.

I picked Amy and threw her out of the barrier. "Attack."

Her violet sparks lightened the gloomy weather as a sign of the evening soon approaching. She does and stumbles back, again rises and does a good job to test the barrier.

"It's firm." I smile.

I pull her back and we have our lunch. The gloomy sky soon shows us the reason as to why.

I stand and the vibe of energy shuffles. I close my eyes and concentrate, later open. "She came."

We all cover the boundary, children had their protection along with old people and we stand, waiting for her to arrive and she does.

All in her glory bringing her troop with her. She smiles when she finds me standing among the crowd.

"I knew you would never be a coward like your dad." I growl at her.

She flinches but smiles at me. "So, shall we start?"

I fold my arms. "Start? When did you start to notify us about what you do?"

She scoffs. "Funny." She turns back and with a nod yells, "Attack."

I stand stiff. "Take your position before the shits hit hard."
