Everyone was happy that I was back. But I couldn’t make any emotion because I was so hot. So the whole day I just was quiet. When it was time for lunch Andre and I set up a kiddie pool to get money. But it was a little too hot. So we opened our flannels but we had tank tops under it. We walked over to Jade and the rest of our friends. “ Sup, Amigos, Ami-Girls?”

“What’s all that money for?”  “Me.”  Andre said. I didn’t need the money so I didn’t complain. “I set up a kiddie pool over there and I'm charging people 5 for five minutes.” I nodded. “Sinjin! You got three more minutes!” “Ok!” We both sat down. “Is it true that sweat and pee are, like, cousins?” “What now?” “Man, how long is this heatwave going to last?” Beck asked.

“They say till tuesday.” Tori said. I groaned and started whining and kicking like a sad toddler. “ She gets angry and doesn’t talk when she’s hot.” Andre explained. “Why would they say that?”  “Wow, it’s up to 106 in the valley.” We all groaned. “Hey, check Venice beach. “ “Ok.”

“Um, Venice is….only 91 degrees.” “Oh! Let’s go to Venice.” Tori said.” You guys wanna?” Beck asked. “What blew off school?” “ I can get with that.” I said. “I meant saturday. I could borrow my uncle’s pickup, hook it to my RV, and we could all hit the beach.” “Let’s do it.” “Beach! I am so in!” Trina said. I started kicking and whining again. “Hey, Sinjin! He’s face down in the kiddie pool!” “ Yep.” “That’s cool. He’s still got two minutes left.” Tori and Robbie went to help him.

“Cat sit down.” “No, I gotta pee.”  She said running around. “Just sit down. It will help.” “No because last time my brother….” Beck opened the door and Cat ran out the RV. “Hurry Back!” “Kay-kay!” “She has the bladder of a squirrel.” I said. “Who’s ready for beach fun?” Beck asked. “Me.” I said. “Beck, this RV is so cool.” “Oh, thanks.” “And you, like, live in this?” Trina asked. “Yeah, well, parked in my parent’s driveway.” “At least you have parents.” Rex said. “Hey! Some things are private.” “I know.” “Hey, how come all these windows are tinted so dark?” “Oh, cause my dad bought it from a rapper.” “ All the windows are made of bulletproof glass.” “What rapper?”

“ Fat biscuit.” “The fat biscuit?” “Oh My gosh!” “You know,I heard he’s thin now.” “Yeag, he had that stomach surgery.” “Aww. Good for Fat Biscuit.” I walked off to grab my stuff. “All right, it’s starting to get hot in here.” Andre said. “Yeah, let’s go. Let’s hit that beach!” Tori and Robbie  yelled. We all cheered. Beck tried to open the door to the RV. “What’s wrong?” “I don’t know. The door won’t open.” “What do you mean?” I asked.

I walked to the door trying to open it. “Just open it!” Jade yelled. “Something’s blocking the door.” “Oh man. Some idiot parked a huge RV right next to us.” “Whatever. Let’s just go out the back door.”  Trina said. “There isn’t a back door.” I yelled. “Well, that’s stupid.”  Trina said. “I’m getting very hot now.” Andre said.
