I woke up to Andre kissing my neck. "Stop.” I said giggling. I could feel his smile on my neck. He got up and looked into my eyes and I kissed him. “Let’s get dressed.” I said. "I’m going to wash my hair first tho.” I got up, washed my hair then got dressed. When I walked downstairs my sisters were in the kitchen. “Are our brothers back?” “Nope. not yet but they called and said it might take awhile before they get back.” “Okay.”

I drove us to school and we went to the black box theater. Andre and Cat were performing a scene. “Ow. I’m so scared.” Cat said. “Try to relax. Everything is going to be right.” “You have to find me a doctor.” “Shh. If that spider bites your eyeball, you could die in minutes.” “Oh, man. Please take it out of my eye.” “I’m going to try. Now shh. Don’t move, and don’t make a sound. It was silent until somebody’s phone started ringing. We all jumped and Cat screamed.

”Oh, man, The ringing is back!” Sikowitz yelled. “Uh, Sikowitz.” “Hey, Sikowitz.” “Sikowitz!” “Yes?” “That was a phone.” Jasmine said. “Whose?” “Mines.” Tori said. “Tori!” “I swear I thought I put it on vibrate.” “Class is no place for swearing or vibrating.” “Maybe we should start the scene over.” Andre said in his Nigerian voice.

“Can we?” “No, Cat, it’s too late. By now the spider would have bitten your character’s eyeball, and you’d be dying a spastic, painful death.” “Thanks a lot, Tori.” “Well, we have about four minutes left. Why don’t we all talk about our weekend plans? Robbie, I assume you have none?” “I don’t.’’ “Rex?” “I’m gonna “partay” with a couple of girls from northridge.” “Northridge girls? That should be an adventure.”

“Heh, heh. What can I say?” “Hey, guess what Jade, Avy and I are doing tonight?” We all just looked at her. “There’s this new place in Los Feliz. It’s called Karaoke Dokie and they have singing competitions on the weekend, So Jade is going to do a song.” “I’m picking the sound.” Jade said. “Jade’s picking the song.”

“Can Rex and I come sing too?” “Sure.” “I told you! I got Northridge girls.” “They can come watch.” “Naw, man. Then they’re going to want us to buy them food and beverages.” “So?” “They’re from Northridge. I don’t wanna spend money on ‘em.” “Aw, I wish I could go to Karaoke Dokie.” “Why can’t you?” “Who cares why she can’t?” “I was just wondering why she…”

“What do you need Tori around to have a good time? Is that your point?” “Dude.” “What?” “Jade! You’re lucky to have Beck. Don’t be such a Gank.” “So why can’t you come?” “Aw, Trina’s getting her dumb wisdom teeth out today, and guess who gets to spend the entire weekend taking care of her?” “Ok, um… Is it someone famous?” “ No, Me.”

“Why can’t your parents take care of her?” Andre asked. “Because they can’t. Why do…” “Avy! Don’t be a Jade.” Sikowitz yelled. “My parents are going to be in Santa Barbara.” “What for?” “So, they don’t have to take care of Trina.” “Can’t blame ‘em.” “ Shucks to be you.” Jade said. “Gank.” The bell ranged. “Ah!” “Now! Whose phone is that?”  “That’s the bell.” “Oh, well, bye.” We all walked out and Andre stopped me when we got to our lockers.
