CLANK!!! CLANK!!! CLANK!!!
Sounds of metal hitting metal was heard as I and Elsa rapidly exchange slashes that we both blocked. But I was barely keeping up. Even though I inherited Assassin's Mind's Eye, it was a lesser version of it, meaning the rank went from C+ to a D, so it wasn't as effective as I had hoped. I didn't have any more time to think before I had to once more block an extremely fast slash heading towards my bowels. While I successfully blocked the attack, one of my "katanas" broke, which caused me to silently curse.
"I would appreciate it if any of you 3 could assist me with this." I said sharply to the three people behind me. I received an answer in the form of a barrage of icicles that Elsa was forced to dodge. I took a quick glance at where the barrage had been fired from and saw that it was Puck who had fired the barrage.
"Thank you." I said, giving him a nod before glancing at Felt, noticing that she looked rather pale. Puck grunted in acknowledgement before narrowing in on Elsa.
"Can you handle her for a while?" I asked Puck, who nodded in response.
"A spirit?, a spirit, huh? Ah...ha-ha... That's wonderful. I haven't ever opened the stomach of a spirit before." I heard Elsa say, with an expression of ecstasy.
"And you never will, girl." Puck spoke in 'a matter of fact' tone before firing icicles at her. Meanwhile, I walk up to Felt.
"Felt, are you alright?" I asked the pale girl.
"H-huh? Hmm, y-yeah..." she said in slight fear while looking at me and taking one step back, causing me to get confused.
'I could understand why she'd would give Elsa such a look, but why me?' I asked myself before realising why. I had pretty much confessed to being a male equivalent of this world "devil" or someone of equal status. I don't care what other people think of me, but in a life or death situation such as this, I can't have people who don't trust me.
"Felt... do you fear me?" I asked her.
"W-what!? W-well I-I-I.." she studdered in slight panic, but before she could continue speaking, I interrupted her.
"If you are, then good." She looked at me with a clearly confused expression after hearing my words. "Only a idiot wouldn't be frightened by being this close to this world's definition of a "devil", so I completely understand why you are wary of me. But Felt..." I paused for a moment. "... could you put your trust in this "devil" for a moment?" I asked her.
"Why?" She suddenly asked me. Did I not make it clear enough?
"Why, you ask? Well, we are dealing with a professional assassin, which is both extremely murder-horny and a battle maniac and, not to mention, possesses a frustratingly good healing factor." I deadpanned in 'a matter of fact' voice.
"No! That wasn't what I meant!" She shouted at me.
"Alright then, what did you mean?" I asked her curiously.
"Why did you protect me from that bitch? You are a witc- er, a warlock right? Shouldn't you be helping that bitch rather than fighting her. You literally referred Elsa's 'mother' as your 'sister', who I can only presume is a fellow witch or sin archbishop. So why are you trying to protect us?" She explained. I looked her in the eyes for a moment before giving her my answer.
"It's really simple, you and everyone wants to live, right? Then I am just going to make sure that you don't lose your lives... or your bowels." I answered before sweat dropping at Elsa's obsession. Speaking of Elsa....
