Chapter 8

𝐏𝐨𝐯 [𝐘/𝐧]

We got out of the bus and made our way home with Wakasa, of course. We still haven't exchanged a single word with each other on our way home and I think Takeomi noticed that there was an awkward silence between us.

"You two can go home already, I have to do something." Takeomi said and immediately left us alone.

Great...That makes me fucking nervous... Being alone with a guy I haven't had a conversation with and only exchanged some words or small sentences...

We just continued to walk home, I unlocked the door and we pulled off our shoes.

"So..." I started. "Should we sit down in the living room and wait for Takeomi to come back...?"

"That's fine with me." Wakasa calmly replied.

We went to the living room and sat down. It was pretty awkward again between us. After what felt like an eternity I managed to speak.

"Would you like to drink something?" was the only thing that came to my mind so I just asked him that.

"Yeah, water would be fine with me."

I stood up, went in the kitchen and brang him a glass of water.

"Thanks." he thanked me as I handed him the glass.

"No problem."

I'm sure he noticed me being nervous.

"So, do you wanna know anything about black dragons by any chance?" He asked as he took a sip out of his glass.

"Nah, I don't think so." I quickly replied.

"If you have any questions as time goes by you can just ask me." He explained as his lilac eyes wandered over to mine.

Both of us didn't say a word and we just had eye contact for a while. I felt heat all over my face and me becoming much more nervous. I totally forgot that he told me something earlier up until he interrupted the silence.

"Did you get what I told you?"

It took me a moment to realize that he actually said something earlier and I started stuttering since I was a bit overwhelmed right now.

"Y-yeah. I understand." I said, still feeling the heat in my face.

"Good." he mumbled.

We started to have eye contact again but as soon as I wanted to start a conversation I heard the front door opening. That means Takeomi must be home! But I still got a bit angry over the fact that I would have just started to talk to Wakasa...

Takeomi came in the living room just to grab some money he must have left on the table and was going to leave us alone again until I stopped him.

"What the fuck is that thing you have to do Takeomi?" I asked him as he turned around to face me and Wakasa.

"Well..." he started. "I totally forgot that I was meeting a friend of mine today and after meeting up with him I wanted to buy some stuff for dinner."

I know he's lying. It's untypical for him to not know about his own plans. But I just played along.

"Oh yeah... right." I said, waving at him.

"I'll be on my way then, have fun you two." he waved back as he left the apartment.

Now we're alone again... I should start a conversation like I planned on doing before Takeomi came here.
