"HA, ha ha ha! God, you're so dumb. No, like seriously, you're actually stupid." Ike said in a disappointed voice.

"The hell? You're saying 60 seconds and a minute are the same?"

"Of course?" Ike responded.

"No no no." Yamauchi began. "When you push 60 seconds on the microwave, it appears as 0:60, yeah?"

"...Um-"

"And if you press 1 minute, it appears as 1:00. Supposedly 1 minute and 60 seconds are the same."

Despite me not being able to see Ike clearly, he probably had a confused face.

"1 minute + 1 minute = 2 minutes, yeah? But how come 60 seconds + 60 seconds = 1:20? Considering in regular math 60 + 60 equals to 120. If we use the clock math-"

Clock math?

"It should translate to 1:20 because of the colon. So... they're not the same. Get it?"

"..."

Ike chatted loudly with Yamauchi about the stupidest thing I've heard in quite a while during second-period math.

It'd been three weeks since the entrance ceremony, and in that time, Ike and Yamauchi, along with Sudou, had collectively come to be known as "The Idiot Trio." If fits them a lot if I have to give my opinion of the name.

"Ne~, Ne~ do you want to go do karaoke?" Nene asked Matsushita.

"Yeah, let's go!"

The group of girls nearby were making plans for after class.

'I wonder why she thinks I'm interesting...'

I don't recall having any special talents and even if I somehow do, I didn't show them to anyone. And she wants to have a match in chess? I'm literally a beginner in chess, I'll get destroyed in her match. That's her first favor.

But, what's the other favor?

I don't actually care if she accepts my apology or not. Playing chess with her seems fun but I have to be careful of not bugging her off. Yamauchi did the same thing and he got expelled.

I absolutely cannot get expelled.

"I was really worried for a while, but it looks like everyone's opened up to each other quickly." Ayanokouji remarks

"Ayanokouji-kun, haven't you made quite a few friends?" asked Horikita, probably copying what was written on the blackboard into her notebook as I was doing the same.

"Somewhat, I suppose." He replied

"Hey, Ayanokouji." I said.

He looked behind his back, "Hey Shinji-"

"Shut up. I'm trying to work here. Do your notes and listen."

"But... But you said my name-"

"Shut up."

Looking like a rejected person, he awkwardly looks back at his notes and began copying what was written on the blackboard.

"I see you're having development... again, Shinjiro-kun. You're focused on studying."

"I've been focused on studying before, what do you mean?"

"Nothing. I've also wants Ayanokouji-kun to shut up as well so thank you."

"You're welcome miss."

Ayanokouji looked at her with a deadpanned expression- well, that's his usual expression but it felt like he was incredibly blank.

I also made a couple of few friends these past 3 weeks. That being Ayanokouji, Sudou, Ike, Yamauchi, Nene, Shinohara, some others... and myself. I guess I can count Sakayanagi... who am I kidding? She's not my friend.  Probably as acquaintances.

"Sup?" Halfway through class, Sudou crashed through the door and barged into the classroom.

He slumped in his seat with a yawn, clearly not caring how late he was. I wonder how he has that kind of courage to do so.

Back then, I avoided not being late to class because I didn't want to draw attention to me. Not because I really wanted to be early.

"Oh, hey, Sudou. Wanna get lunch later?" Ike called out to Sudou from across the room.

As usual, the teachers did not care a single dime of what the students were doing. I already know that they're testing us, which is why I didn't want to be part of them. Instead, I pay attention to the lessons, especially Japanese History. I mean, know I Japanese history. I just consider it more enjoyable; math is also enjoyable if it's not too hard.

The Japanese Civil War, Japan's involvement in taking German Pacific islands in World War 1, obviously "The War", Reconstruction of Japan, the Tsunami of 2011, the Kamakura Period, the rise of Buddhism, the Meiji Period, the list could go on. I find those very interesting. Of course, there's some new things here that didn't happen in my world.

'Economic bubble burst in 21 century, huh?'

"Hey, Horikita. Do you want to have lunch with me?" Ayanokouji asked.

Is this Ayanokouji's way of getting revenge on me since I didn't go to lunch with him a couple times in a row?

"I will have to decline. Your group is rather unrefined, anyway."

"I can't deny that." Ayanokouji agrees. "But I didn't say it was with my group."

"You're definitely influenced by them... And Shinjiro-kun because of your degenerate jokes."

"Is that so?"

Ayanokouji looked at the window and put his face in his palms.

"I blew it. My chance in being in a romantic relationship with Horikita is over." he bussed in a blank tone of voice.

"Yes yes. You did blow it all up." Horikita flipped over her notes. "Now hush up. The teacher's talking."

I looked over at the blackboard Hoshinomiya was writing in.

                                                                   d
                                                                  __ ( e^2x sin (x) ) = 0
                                                                  dx

I'm unsure if most in this classroom are able to solve this...

"Okay, let's try a bonus question. Very very hard. I know! But I like very hard things so let's do this!"

Huh? Hoshinomiya? Huh?

"Okay~ Sudou-kun!"

"H-Huh?"

Probably since he came into the classroom extremely late, he had no idea what was going on.

"We need to solve for (x) where the derivative of the function ( e^{2x} \sin(x) ) equals zero. Right?"

"...Right right."

You don't know anything right!!

"Then... before we solve, what does this equation in terms of functions?"

Correct answer would be exponential and trigonometric functions... I believe. I don't feel like doing this work.

"Um... Ummm...."

"It's okay, I'll give you some time." She smiled as she wrote at the blackboard.

I don't know how he managed to do it, but Sudou responded a bit afterwards.

"Exponential and... trigonometric!"

"That's correct, Sudou-kun!"

"Yeah! Alright!"

I was almost certain that he used his electronics to find the answer.
