"this song is so soothing. i mean most of IU's songs are like this. imagine how awesome it would be, you're taking a bath with wine and a book while this played in the background." he romantisized as agreeing comments flooded the fast paced comments.
soon enough the song changed to Sorry, I Love You by Stray Kids. he loved Stray Kids. no he loved Stray Kids. Especially two people. I wouldn't say bias and bias wrecker but more like he liked them as in liked them. okay let me make it clearer. he is friends with Jisung and Felix, being the '00 liners, they just became friends naturally. But he's also friends with their youngest member, I.N. Well, Yang Jeongin since they're friends.
The thing is, he's not just friends with Jeongin. He's rather in... ahem*love*ahem. It started off as casual, silly friends who would do fun shit together, jaehyun even used to rant to him about his crushes. his "crushes" being Bang Chan. aka the eldest member from Stray Kids. yes it was a stupid crush, and yes he was pathetic over it. not a surprise. But then shit went down when he actually confessed. and got rejected. i mean what was he expecting? the guy is much older than him. well 3 years isn't much but that was the only excuse chan could give without breaking his heart too much. it's been 4 months since that so he's pretty much over it. except he isn't.
friends to lovers has always been a no-no in his life but you can't force yourself to not fall in love, isn't it? So he didn't force and let himself fall in love with his best friend, Jeongin.
Taking reference from his past 21 years, it is quite obvious that he can not, for the love of God, handle crushes in a smart way. For example, with Chan, he was so obvious. And now with Jeongin, he is totally ignoring him. Bad idea.
"didn't changbin write this song? i really like it. i know in that one interview they all chose secret secret over this but i would choose this over secret secret. sorry jisung." he commented with a small laugh. his phone chimed with a notification so he picked up his phone to read it through the notification bar only for his expressions to fall. it was a text from Jeongin:

jaehyun didn't reply still, instead he put his phone on DND and continued with the live. it went on for another 40 minutes until he was done.
it was around 11 pm when he got out of the hybe building to go home when he was pushed up against the wall.
"Finally, Jesus what the fuck is wrong with you? why are you ignoring me?" Said a very out of breath Jeongin. he ran all the way here and it's winter.
"oh my god you almost gave me a heart attack!" jae gasped and pushed Jeongin off him.
"shut up and answer the fucking question." Jeongin ordered.
jaehyun scoffed and rolled his eyes. "watch your mouth little guy."
"shut the fuck up. one, you're shorter and two, 2 months don't count."
"ugh whatever, it's cold and I'm going home." yes he completely avoided the question once again.
Jeongin was mad. very mad. a week straight with no talking, not face to face, no calling and no texting. it was pissing him off that his best friend was acting like this and there was no reason he could think of for his behaviour.
"yang jaehyun for the last time. what is wrong? did i do something? why don't you tell me?!" he yelled.
jae sighed and stopped walking. "nothing is wrong, you didn't do anything. there, i answered your question."
"then why are you ignoring me?"
"I'm not." jae shrugged and continued walking. Jeongin jogged to catch up with him.
"look me in the eyes and say that."
jae stopped, rolled his eyes and made eye contact with him. "...i am not... ignoring you." he said and immediately broke the eye contact.
"you're such a lier. do you not understand that you're hurting me with this behaviour?!"
jae didn't mean to hurt him. he would never intend to do that. "it's just... i hate the feeling of being in love with someone... it makes me feel so vulnerable. i can't process or accept it at all..."
"what...? the Chan hyung thing was 4 months ago, i thought you were over that. you said you were over that."
jae laughed softly, oh clueless little innie...
"it's not about him, innie..."
"then who?? i didn't know you could fall in love so quick right after getting over someone."
"okay, first of all, the thing with Chris was a stupid crush. that's all that was. and second... i think i was in love all while crushing on Chris... i just never realised it."
"oh my god... who- who is it??" Jeongin asked curiously.
"i hate the fact that you're so curious." jae frowned.
"hey, i didn't mean to pry or whatever. i just thought i should know the person who my best friend is in love with." Jeongin defended.
"well, you know yourself don't you?" jae said in a hurry and picked up his pace.
"huh what? i know myself??"
jae kept walking— speed walking.
"heyy! you confused me. what are you saying?" Jeongin asked but only received a shrug.
