"what's for dinner?" yiwon asked as he entered the kitchen.
"i don't know yet, haven't decided." Minho answered.
jae was laying on the couch under a blanket, reading a book. he took a nap and was fresh as ever.
"whatchu reading nerd?" yiwon teased as he entered the living room.
"something out of your intellectual capacity." he was reading red, white and royal blue. before yiwon could come up with something to say the door bell rang.
"you're lucky you got away." he said and opened the door.
"aaand it's your boyfriend." yiwon said with an eye roll and left the room before letting Jeongin in.
"hey jae." he greeted as he walked near to the couch.
"hey innie, what brings you here?"
"are you for real?" Jeongin said with a pout before snuggling under the blanket and laying on top of jaehyun, resting his head on his chest.
"what do you mean?" jae asked and fixed the blanket to cover them both up.
"you drunk texted me and told me to come over."
"oh... i don't remember." he said half attentive, reading the book with most interest. Jeongin pouted and dived under the blanket and lifted jae's shirt, blowing raspberries on his tummy. jaehyun burst into a fit of giggles and put away his book.
"what are you doinggg??" he asked, still giggling.
"getting your attention." Jeongin replied, getting out from under the blanket, his head still half covered, a mischievous smile on his face.
"okay well you have it now." jae replied and brushed Jeongin's hair with his fingers.
Jeongin held an eye contact with him before leaning towards him and kissing his lips.
"take this pda away from here what the fuck." Minho said and walked through the living room to the bedroom while covering his eyes.
"jealous singles." jae said while shaking his head. he continued playing with Jeongin's hair who sighed and rested his head on his chest. they laid there for an eternity in silence, eventually their breathing syncing together.
"remember how we said that we had some unspoken things which we're afraid may ruin everything..." jae said breaking th silence.
"hm yeah, what about it?" jeongin replied.
"we said that we'd leave them like that for now... but like, i think maybe we should say it?"
"why now?"
"okay I'm just gonna say it, we kissed. you kissed me, i kissed you. and umm i think that you like me..."
"psh i don't like you. jae I'm in love with you at this point." he said and lifted his head to look at him.
"wow you scared me for a second." jae said with a laugh, his heart beat speeding up. Jeongin could feel and hear jae's heart beating faster, his own doing the same. the thrill of confession was new.
"umm... you know how i told you i was in love with someone even when the whole Chris thing was going on..."
"jae what... umm yeah i- i remember..." Jeongin was scared.
"that person is you dummy! I'm in love with you and have been for the last 6 months!"
"oh my god you scared me too!!" he said and squeezed him with happiness.
"six months huh? that's a long time." he teased.
"well what about you?? how long have you been crushing on me?"
"i don't know when it started but i realised it when you would talk about chan hyung for hours and i felt jealous..." he confessed, feeling slightly embarassed.
"awww my baby was jealous?!" jae teased.
"shh we're not talking about it!"
"oooh you're embarassed!!" jae said and burst into laughter.
" it's embarrassing! shut uuupp~!"
"make me~" jae smirked.
with no hesitation whatsoever, Jeongin leaned in and connected their lips. jaehyun kissed back, unable to stop himself from smiling. the kiss was passionate and different from the past times they've kissed. even though the last time they kissed jae was satisfied but this time it was different. him and Jeongin had just confessed to each other. Jeongin was in love with him.
"so does this mean we're boyfriends now?" jae asked after breaking the kiss.
"but we're best friends."
"we can be best friends and boyfriends both." Jaehyun replied and kissed him again.
