Those Funny Feelings (Najimi X Tadano)

Chapter 3

"I- I think I really like you, Tadano" there it was, Najimi had confessed to him, Najimi felt their heart pounding and their face heating up, it had taken all the courage they could muster but they had done it. "Me too..." came the short reply, Najimi instantly looked up at Tadano, no way they had said that "what!? B- b- but you're dating komi!?" before they could get another word out Najimi felt both of their shoulders being grabbed "i always liked you, Naji" said Tadano, pulling them in for a kiss, about a thousand thoughts ran through Najimi's mind before they just decided to relax into the kiss, closer, closer...

CRASH!! Najimi opened their eyes to find themselves on the hardwood floor next to their bed, and their whole body hurting "stupid floor" muttered Najimi as they rolled over "woke me up at the best part", ever since confessing their feelings to Manbagi Najimi had been having very vivid dreams about themselves confessing to Tadano, Najimi threw their blankets back onto their bed, got up and stretched their back with several pops, then went to make breakfast. As they slowly ate their bowl of cereal Najimi pondered what they should do, their feelings for Tadano were becoming a little too much for them, especially considering the month before they had never had a crush on anyone, completely out of ideas Najimi grabbed their phone and called Manbagi.

"Hyia!" Manbagi practically yelled through the phone, Najimi jumped straight to the point "I think I need to confess to Tadano, soon" Manbagi paused for a moment on the other end "what brought this on?" she questioned "it feels like i'm going crazy, I just can't get him out of my head, every one of my dreams for the past-" "woah woah ok buddy I don't wanna hear about that" Najimi shot a confused glare down the phone before realizing what she meant "hey! Not like that! Just of me confessing to him and maybe kissing a little" Manbagi chuckled and then continued "so, when do you think you could do it?" "I don't know, as soon as possible" "So today then?" Najimi nearly dropped their phone in shock "I- I can't do it today Manbagi!" Manbagi groaned "you said as soon as possible, what's wrong with today?" "I'm just..." Najimi trailed off, not exactly sure how to express their feelings "not ready?" Manbagi finished "I suppose so" Najimi replied, Manbagi took a deep breath "I've been there too, well, for me it was a little more complicated but regardless I know it's hard to build up the courage, but you've really just gotta rip off the band-aid as soon as you can, take him out today Naji, it's ok if you can't get it out today but I really want you to try" Najimi didn't know what to say, so just sat in silence for a moment "I've gotta get ready for school Naji, I'll see you there!" and Manbagi ended the call, Najimi now had a lot more on their already crowded mind

At lunchtime Najimi sat with the usual group, Tadano, Komi, Manbagi and Katai, they all chatted (and wrote) away, talking about whatever was on their minds, eventually Tadano and Komi began speaking one on one, Najimi was focused on their food until they felt the presence of somebody moving closer to them "do it" Manbagi whispered into Najimi's ear, Najimi froze all of a sudden thinking about nothing but how to ask Tadano out in the least embarrassing way "maybe i could ask him as we're walking out?, no he always walks home with komi... umm, maybe i could call him tonight, yeah! That's it I'll do th-""'Naji?" Tadano's voice interrupted their thoughts, Najimi blankly stared at Tadano "well, what do you think?" clearly Najimi had been asked a question but they had totally missed it "screw it" Najimi thought "time to rip the band-aid off" "HEY TADANO WANNA GO TO THE ARCADE AFTER SCHOOL?!" Najimi blurted out, Manbagi stifled a laugh but everyone else was just confused "uh, yeah sure I would like that" Tadano said, still a little confused, Najimi felt like they were going to hyperventilate "would you like to come too komi?" Tadano asked, now Najimi felt like dying, they glanced at Manbagi who gave them a small thumbs up, then looked back over at Tadano and Komi, she held up her notebook which read "sure, I haven't been there in a while" Tadano smiled "great, how about you Manbagi, and Katai?" "sorry, busy" come Katai's quick reply, "yah I can't go either, got some stuff to do" she said while winking at Najimi in a way only they could see, Najimi gave them a big forced smile before everyone went back to chatting, nobody could usually tell when Najimi was putting on a act or was actually happy, except Tadano, who had taken great notice
