Sabrina CarpenterMiguel and I found some food but he had to wait in line. I didn't want much, just a snack. "So how'd you and Madi meet?" Miguel questioned.
"She made a TikTok to my song, I made a duet and we clicked so well." I smiled, "I was telling her how I wanted to like go to Cali or Arizona and she surprised me so this is like a birthday trip." I shrugged.
"Huh, where are you from?"
"Colorado." I answered, "Yeah, people think I live in Cali sometimes."
"I thought you lived in Cali to be honest."
"Oh? Why is that?" I teased.
"Ur like really tan."
"Oh my mom is like 50% Native American, I'm like a quarter." I shrugged.
"What about your dad?" He asked.
"Ran out when I was five. Called me a witch and boom basically flies out the door." I laughed, "So I don't really know."
"I'm sorry Tay." Miguel frowned.
"Don't be, he was kind of an a-hole." I chuckled, "But alas my mother is 34 and still single."
"Damn your mom is young."
"Had me when she was eighteen." I shrugged, "Her birthday is in November." I sighed, "But enough about me, what about you?"
"Well there's not that much to offer." He shrugged.
"Nonsense." I shook my head, "Maddi told me you play the guitar."
"Did she now?"
"Mhm." I hummed, "I think that's much to offer." I winked.
"Not really, just a hobby I picked up."
"So tell me about your home life."
"Well, I'm currently in online school." He sighed, "And my family is moving."
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Uhm," he choked on his words a bit, "My address and school got linked."
I felt so bad. "Who was it?"
"A fan, somehow they figured out where I live and where I go to school, and just boom. All of a sudden I'm at home doing science in my bed." He chuckled, but I could tell he was upset. I placed a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it.
"Don't let them get you down." I smiled, "Besides, look at the plus side, you've met a new friend through all of this." I patted his shoulder, grabbing two plates, one for me and one for Tristan, "I'm online to." I blurted.
"Why is that?" Miguel questioned.
"Kids can be cruel." I sighed, "My used to be best friend thought I told everyone she slept with a guy." I shrugged, "They didn't even let me say a word, and nobody wants to be friends with a snitch."
