At All Cost (Ganqing)

chapter 1.

Before I start this chapter, I want to announce some things I'm going to change about my writing.

-if they are talking, I skip a rule.
-decided to also put "*pov (characters name)*" in it.
-a bit of increasing details (no shame, no embarrassing, just how i see it.)
-no more special chapter named (mostly spoils the whole chapter)
-grammar isn't going to change.

As usual, Ganyu turned her music on to not hear the things she got called as she walks by. It was loud enough to not hear them. She thought it would help, but it escalated quickly. They took her headphones and phone, wanting her attention.

"Look who's there, our little demon."

"Leave me alone, your face already looks ruined, that look makes it worse."

"Decided to be a baddie today?"

As they push her on the ground. They dropped her headphones on the ground and were about to spill water on it, until a strange voice interrupted them.

*Keqing's pov:*

What's that sound? Sounds like those bullies I've heard about. She walks to the 3. There she saw 2 people standing infront of someone on the ground, she seems like she's crying.

"Hey! Shoosh, nobody wants you here."

And they walked away. She helps the girl get up. When she touched her hand, she felt shivers down her spine, something unexplainable.

"A-are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine, thanks."

"What's y-your name if I may ask?"

"I'm Ganyu, and you are?"

"Keqing, I'm Keqing. Do these kids always bother you?"

"Mhm, nowhere to escape them."

"Next time I see them, they're dead."

Wait, what? Why am I acting so overprotective? She's just a random girl you just met.

*Ganyu's pov:*

Wow, I don't know who she is, but she did helped me alot. Who is she? Isn't she the new girl? I heard she's in my class, so I may get to know her more. Oh, she's already gone. Keqing.. hmm.. never heard that before, but she's beautiful.. uh! I mean.. the name is beautiful...

She walks to her class and sits on her usual place, alone; what she liked. Secretly she hoped the new girl was going to sit next her, I mean there are plenty other seats with normal kids, she wouldn't choose me over them. Miss Ningguang walked in.

"Good morning, class. As you heard there's a new student in our class, I hope we can all welcome her with open arms."

And Keqing walked in. She looked for Ganyu, and walked to her way, sitting next to her. Wow, she actually chose to sit next to you?! Well, the other kids that are alone are bullies so i would do the same.

"Hi, Ganyu."

"Oh, hello Keqing!"

"I hope you don't mind I sit here."

"N-no, its okay. I don't mind don't worry."

Why would she worry at the first place? And why the fuck am I stuttering? But she's so pretty.. maybe I could ask to lunch with her later?

"Ganyu? Hey, Ganyu? Are you coming?"

"Oh, yeah I zoned out I'm sorry."

*Keqing's pov:*

She's nice..  I mean compared to my old classmates, she's way better. Ugh, maths give me stress! I still have a pack of cigs in my pocket. Oh, we arrived. They sat on their place and grabbed their books.

"Ma'am, can I use the restroom?"

"Yeah, of course, not too long."

And she grabs a cigarette and lights it.

*Ganyu's pov:*

5 minutes have passed, I already know what the teacher is going to ask..

"Ganyu, can you check on Keqing?"

"Yeah sure Ma'am."

As she walks to the restroom. What's that smell! Has someone been smoking again?

"Keqing, are you there?"

"Come in."

As she opens the door. Ganyu walks in the stall, seeing Keqing smoking.

"Keqing! You can get in trouble for that!"

"Okay? Maths give me headaches, want to try one too?"

What is she asking me now? All though, she isn't wrong. One won't hurt right?

"Uhmm okay.."

"Here, I'll light it for you."

She puts it in her mouth, as Keqing lights it. She immediately coughs.

"Not bad, but I'm not used to it."

"You don't overreact so that's fine."

"Thanks, but don't you think it's time to head back?"

"Mhm, yeah. Finish ur cig, were going."

She trows it away and walks back to class with her. The others especially the teacher could smell the scent of cigarettes. Some others start to wisper.

Class was over, finally. Should I ask her now? Mhm, do it.

"Hey uhm Keqing, do you want to lunch with me? You seem nice and I would love to know you more."

*Keqing's pov:*

Mostly I will shoosh others away, but she seems nice, perhaps I could ask her about her horns and the bullying.

"Of course, I'd love to."

Ganyu leads Keqing to her favorite spot, where nobody came.
