A/N- I know it has been a while, I'm currently swamped with work and writer's block. I am not very good at battle scenes so forgive my writing. Sorry for any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. I have a general idea of what I want to happen next, it's just executing it (said every author ever).
I DO NOT OWN NARUTO

'They are moving, we can intercept them!' Sakura thought. Her breathing was getting heavier, 'my stamina is still not up since the hospital.' Naruto was oddly quiet as he followed the Cherry Blossom. He was either in awe that he is working with THE Cherry Blossom, or equally stressed to see Sasuke. 'He can distract Sasuke while I deal with the sealing team and Sai.,' she thought as she stepped on another branch to continue her venture through the trees. A flower bloomed where she stepped.

Sasuke smelled something sweet in the air as he continue leading this team around the deep forests surrounding Konoha. He sensed them like he did the anbu earlier. He came to a stop and they followed his lead behind him. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they were a bloody red with the sharingan looking closely in the trees. He signaled the team and they split into different directions. They left the vase in the middle with the leader and the others separated. 'Something is not right.' Sasuke thought. Out of nowhere a wooden arrow narrowly missed him and left a scratch on his cheek. 'They missed, or did they?" he turned around as the arrow hit the vase, but it was only cracked, not broken.
Shino smirked as he was standing by the vase. 'I believe this is who we are looking for.' Another arrow shot out of a different direction, but Shino blocked it with a wooden staff.
Sasuke had turned his head so fast, he did not know where this person was. He was struggling to pinpoint them, he was so focused on trying to find the archer, he missed Naruto's first ten steps coming in hot with a -
"Rasengaaaannnn."
"Huuuh, you'll never learn." Sasuke sighed as he side-stepped Naruto, his Rasengan dissipated, but Naruto hooked his ankles with Sasuke and used that as leverage to push Sasuke down. 'What a dumb trick. What an idiot, but I fell for it didn't I?" Sasuke thought. 'Taijutsu it is.,' he smirked, secretly glad that Naruto had come, 'but where is Sakura?'

Meanwhile, Shino is continuing to deflect the arrows. "Oh Cherry Blossom, come out, come out wherever you are!" He said in a teasing voice, he continued to casually deflect the arrows as they were not making more progress than the first one. "Or I'll hurt your comrade in the vase." The arrows suddenly stopped. A Woman walked out of the trees on a high branch, looking down on the man who had the staff. Her brown hair looked greasy and unkempt in her ponytail, and her body glistened with more sweat than it should have been, but her mask was bright, unsettling, and infamous. 'That is the Cherry Blossom alright." Her body language made her seem confident and intimidating.
"Why are you in the Land of Fire? What is your purpose here?" She said boldly. Sasuke and Naruto were still fighting their own battle, but she could tell they were listening closely.
"Why, I'm sorry you don't recognize me, of course, I'm here to finish the job that I should've done long ago." Sakura had a quick intake of breath. Naruto got distracted by the statement and Sasuke used that moment to pin him.
