At the Hokage's Tower...
The third hokage sighed and stood up from his desk. He walked out of his office towards the staircase to go to a place where he can breath: the roof. As he reached the staircase he gave a wave to the hidden ANBU that he wants to be alone. He traveled up to the roof and looked down to view the Village Hidden in The Leaves. He leaned against the rail.
A ribbon fell down and landed on the hokage's outstretched hands.
Human.
He felt a presence, but wasn't afraid. He has heard of the legend of the Cherry Blossom, and now he gets to experience that tale that was told by many of his acquaintances.
"So you are real." He said.
"What do you mean?" A soft feminine voice said from his left. he turned and saw a brown-haired girl with a beautiful mask.
"You are quite famous."
"Really?"
"You have helped many people in distress."
"I don't want anyone to fall."
"Fall?"
"yes. Fall."
"You are quite a strange girl."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
"You should."
"You are quite distressed about a decision aren't you?" The girl said with a hint of sympathy.
"You're good. One of my council members wants me to put a boy named Naruto into the ANBU so they can use him as a weapon, and if I don't agree to their terms they might harm the boy more then they already have. "
"He's human."
"Well of course he is."
"Well, I came to tell you that maybe instead of trying to please your council, and your elder advisors, you should start thinking about the next generations."
"..."
"Naruto is human, and he has suffered way more than an average kid, he has been through hatred and is still able to smile through his loneliness. He has a heart of gold and is still looked down upon. Tell me Hiruzen...will it make his life better or worse if you let him be tossed around as if he is just a tool to be used for the good of the village? How about you let him create his own path, a path that he can mold, you'd be surprised. "
"Thank y-" But she was already gone. He looked down at the pink ribbon and smiled.
Grow a backbone.
He just chuckled.
"She was more than I expected." Then he stood straighter and he went back to his desk. And he called an ANBU.
"I want you to call the council." Then the Anbu vanished.

"I promise!" A little girl with pink hair jumped up and down holding a silk pink ribbon. "Mama?"
