Again: Freedom

  Meanwhile, the president returned to the interrogation room, she closed the door forcefully, she went towards me, grabbed my hand that had a puncture mark, then, she asked me in a stern tone:

-"What is that mark on your hand? What were you telling me? What did you say about Paul and his mother? And why were you the one holding the car keys?"

I tried to stay calm, then, I answered her clearly:

-"His mother passed away when he was young."

- "You are a liar." She shouted. "That is you. Obviously. It is you."

-"No. It is Paul. Paul and the others are dead." I replied, trying to hide the truth.

-"The bodies have not been found, not a single drop of blood. Not even the hotel. What did you see in the hotel room? None of what you said was real. You made it all up in your imagination. You did it all on your own. You are Max, Paul and Stephen."

I did not accept what she said, then, I answered:

- "I'm not like my mother, I know who I am."

Those words made me get up from my place, I felt lost in my thoughts. 'I am not like my mother'.

"That means that we agreed." The president replied. "We are going to cancel the witness protection program."

I did not accept her answer, thus, all my efforts will be a vain. Then I began addressing her in a stern tone:

-"No. We had a deal. I gave you Mr. X and Friends, and I will get the program in return. You said so."

Although I tried to convince her, her answer was:

-"Sorry. I cannot help it."

-"They killed Krypton, they killed my comrades. I betrayed Mr. X, and now they are going to find me. Do you understand?"

However, her answer was always, "Sorry." Meanwhile, she left the hall.

Many hours passed; during it, the president was promoted. Nonetheless, an expression of sadness was still visible on her face. After that, she went to the hall, opened the door, and then told me:

-"I asked them to take you to court. Let us go."

When I heard her words, I got up from my place in great desperation, and then walked with her out of the hall in handcuffs. Every step I took I was thinking about what would happen next. When we got into the elevator, I decided to confess everything to her:

-"Sorry to distract you. I know it is not good."

I had hardly finished my words until the president turned our steps toward a back door where the Witnesses' server computer was, and then told me:

- "The Witnesses program is, in fact, a programme."

Then she opened the door and beckoned me in, while she stayed outside to watch. Then I completed the process quickly by changing my identity, so we left the place immediately by her car.

After we arrived near the city port, Hani stopped the car. Therefore, I started asking her:

- "What are you going to tell them?"

- "You ran away during the transport." She answered me with a wide smile.

- "Won't you be expelled again?"

She took a moment to think, after she replied:

-"They want Mr. X and Friends. You are nothing to them. You are invisible now." She changed her looks and then added, "But promise me you will stop hacking."

-"I promise you".

Then I got out of the car, and went to the known place, where Paulina, I, and my companions had agreed to meet at a port near the city. As I was getting on the ship, Paulina, Max, Paul and Stefan were showing up.

-"That woman believed you." Max shouted. "The engineer of Social Engineering."

-"Even Europol now does not know who you are." Paul added.

-"What name did you choose?" Paulina asked me.

-"Unknown". Stefan replied.
