Tewkesbury. You've loved him. But he's your friend. You can't figure out if he feels the same way as you do. His brother tries to help. But does it work out in the end? After you find out he's marrying someone else? Arranged marriage? Who knows.
"Y/N. I'm so sorry." Victor said. "But your brother told me he...." You then realized that, Tewkesbury never truly told you if he had feelings for you or not. "I can't say anything." Victor said. Almost as if he could read your mind. And know exactly what you're thinking. "Why not?" You said, as even more tears came out of your eyes. "You know how long I've loved him for?!" You added. "He told me not to." "Oh." You said and looked at him. "If you want to be alone..I'll leave-" "Please." You said. Victor nodded. When he was about to reach the door knob... "It's not your fault. Don't you feel guilty. Please." You told victor, you didn't want him to feel guilty for any of this. Or for you crying. It wasn't his fault. He nodded. "Understood." And he then left. You were left alone in the room. You walked towards the fireplace. Why would Tewkesbury not allow victor to tell you his true feelings?! You were almost going to kiss. But he didn't tell you how he felt about you! Did he want to tell you himself? Is that why?
You felt the warmth of the fire, which helped you calm down with the tears. As it was cold outside of the room. You heard the door open. You turned around. And there he was. "Im sorry I didn't tell you. Im so sorry, I apologize profusely." Tewkesbury said. "I promise you. I don't want to marry her! It's against my will. " he said.

You stayed silent. "Y/N! I promise you. I don't want to get married...." He said. He looked at you. "Please do not tell me you cried." He added. "So? So what if I did. Tewkesbury." You said.

He stayed silent and just looked at you. He tried getting closed to you. But you stood back. "Don't." You said. "Im sorry. Y/N." He said. "How are you marrying someone, you don't want to get married too?" You said. "It's not like I'm choosing to get married?!!" He said. "I find out you're moving to Northern Ireland apparently?! And now I find out your getting married?! To some girl who I know you don't even know. A single thing about? You know. I was concerned for you moving away. But now I don't think so." You told him. "It's not my fault?! I apologize. For-" "For what? Almost kissing me?" You said. He stayed silent. "Im sorry." "Will you tell me what's happening at least?!" You said. "I don't understand why you can't tell me anything, about what's happening to you." He looked defeated as you were saying this. "You see I would tell you everything. But your not listening. And there isn't enough time before the other stupid bachelor dance starts and where I have to dance with that girl."
"That girl?" You thought. Why'd he call her "that girl?" "Will you please stop being stubborn and listen to me. We must talk. This time we must truly talk. I'll truly tell you everything y/n please. Don't be stubborn." Before you were able to get a word out. "Tewkesbury!" His mother said, she then looked at you. "Well hello y/n. Nice seeing you here!" She said. You fake smiled at her.
You didn't understand how he could marry someone he doesn't know. Your thought process wasn't working with how hurt you were. You weren't thinking of how it could be an arranged marriage. Against his own will.
You didn't think about those possibilities since you were too hurt about the thought of him getting married to someone else.
His mother took him by his arm, and you could see were his teary eyes. And he was taken away by his mother. You sighed. You still had tears in your eyes. But Tewkesbury's mom hasn't asked anything about your tears. Or his tears.
You walked out of the room and decided to leave. You didn't know when Tewkesbury was leaving. You quickly got out of there. And as you were leaving. You stopped for a second, and saw Tewkesbury.

He was with a group of ladies. He saw you. You ignored him though and walked out of there. ———————————————————————— (Back to the present June 1893) "Of course it's about Tewkesbury." You told victor." "What happened to your brother?" You added. "May I come in? First?" Victor asked. "Sure." You said.
He sat down on the couch. And you offered drinks, but he denied. "My brother he tried sending letters to you. He's written to you. But my mother didn't allow them to deliver. He's tried reaching out. But many fails. And so I decided to come here personally." Victor said. "I know Victor. I know it was an arranged marriage. I found out.... On the newspaper. Didn't know if it was true though. Since you know, he says not to believe everything to read on there." You said and looked at the newspaper laying on the coffee table. "Tewkesbury? Yeah he says that. Doesn't he?" Victor said. You nodded. "It's curious how you both moved out. Well he first moved out and now you moved out-" "Alright alright..." you said tired of victor trying to create conversation. "Right. Well y/n. My brother he...he's sorry." Victor said. "Tell him I'm sorry too. Im sorry for not allowing him to talk." You said. "I still Love Your brother." You added. Victor smiled. "You both must talk. Y/N. My brothers been upset. I was glad to have him and his wife divorced. They didn't last a day. He refused to do anything with her." Victor said with now a disgusted face. You smiled. ________________________________
