"Oh my God." Violet breathed. She looked up and her breath hitched at the amber eyes she hasn't seen for many hours. Wilbur had a hazy grin on his face that made her feel warm. It gave Violet confidence. She leaned in and kissed him on the forehead. She couldn't tell if he was blushing or if it was just his condition. She hoped the former, but he was still smiling and that was enough. His eyes began to droop, and she gently rubbed his hand.

"I love you too..."

Violet froze. Did she hear that right? What else would he have been saying? Had the electrical currents somehow made him fall in love? She was blushing furiously now, and he was fast asleep again.

The door burst open, and Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were looking at a very wide-eyed Violet Parr. They had seen a lot of the super because of all her time with Wilbur. But mainly because Cornelius was head of the time-travel project that brought Violet and her brothers to this time.

As Franny went to tend to Wilbur, Cornelius was still focused on Violet. "What happened?" He asked her and she was paralyzed. She was not about to tell his dad that Wilbur just confessed to her, even though he was not quite conscious.

"I'm sorry." She started, "I've honestly been in shock all day."

"I understand. You've gone through a lot. Has he woken up at all? The nurse told us no, but that you've been with him."

Violet flushed again and she turned away. "Yes, but he was really out of it, he didn't even say anything." She mumbled.

"Hm." Cornelius thought, "Wilbur? Not saying anything? This could be serious." He chuckled and Franny joined in. Violet was too spaced to laugh. Cornelius noticed because normally she loves the jabs at Wilbur. "Violet, why don't you go get something to eat." He glanced at his wife, "Franny and I can look after him while you're gone."

"Ok." Violet walked out dazed only hearing muffled conversation between the Robinsons.

Violet stop thinking about it, there is no way he was thinking straight. As much as you hope he was.

"Hey Vi!" Violet walked over to her younger brother and smiled at him, hoping it looked sincere.

"What's wrong?" Dash inquired.

Of course, it didn't. "His parents came in," she decided to say instead, snagging some of Dash's chips.

"What? Were you about to wake him up with a kiss?"

"No!" Violet screeched. She felt eyes on her and looked around at the annoyed families. "Shut up, Dash."

"What's bothering you?" Dash pressed. Violet sighed; he was getting very good at reading her.

"Wilbur woke up, and he said...something I wasn't expecting."

"When do you expect what he says?"

Violet giggled this time, "Seriously, Dash."

Dash glanced away as though he had a sudden thought. "How did you feel about what he said?"

"Well, he was only half awake-" Violet stopped. "Do you know what he said?"

"If it's what I think it is," Dash continued, "then he actually told me himself." Violet's heart fluttered at the possibility of Wilbur's words being sincere. "You should see if he's awake."

Violet did not need to be told twice. She treaded quickly back to the room and waited outside to make sure it was a good time.

"Mom. MOM. Ow."

Violet gasped. She peeked through the small door window to see Mrs. Robinson kissing Wilbur's face relentlessly, while he helplessly tried to push her away. Mr. Robinson stood behind his wife, amused. Through his wincing, Wilbur opened one eye and saw a raven-haired girl vanishing from the window. "Gee," he spoke loudly, "if someone were to knock on the door, I would be so grateful." Wilbur glanced at the small window again. After a beat Violet knocked. Cornelius answered the door. "Violet!" Wilbur smirked, "what a surprise!"
