**Chapter 3: Veiled Secrets and Broken Bonds**

*Arohi's POV*

I was busy with preparations when I received an update from Kabir, my partner in the field.

"At 4 pm," he messaged, indicating that the meeting would take place in two hours.

It's then I gazed at adi he took was busy with the preparation I sometimes feel guilty for loving him , for not telling him the truth , he has always loved me without even asking a single question and I ... Look at me how pathetic I sometimes feels.

But I promise no matter what I will always protect him though it might take him away from me, I am ready to give up on everything if he is safe.

This mission was not for me but then I came to know those terrorists have eyes on my personal life too as it turns out that this attack at parliament is planned by someone I am behind since 4 yours.

*Aditya's POV*

It's been almost three hours since she arrived, and she hasn't spoken to me once. Is this our love? Why is she acting like this? This isn't us.

I'm currently going on stage to perform some rituals as the yagya is underway. Let's see if she comes and joins me to fulfill her duty, if not for me, then at least for Veer.

"Where is bhabhi? She has to be here," Veer asked.

"I don't know; maybe she is on her way," I replied, hoping she would come, at least for Veer if not for me.

Honestly, it feels terrible to give such replies. But then she came, sat beside me, and as per the instructions, we started performing rituals. Here we are, performing rituals to unite two souls, but the connection between us seems to be shattering. This isn't us!

We weren't like this. Did I make a mistake? Why is she treating me like this?

I remembered when I went to New York for work; I saw her with that man. They seemed happy. It wasn't the first time I caught her with him—in a cafe, then in a mall. I don't know if she is really cheating on me, but this is not what I should get for my love.

As soon as we completed our part, she didn't even stop for a second to look at me. She went away. This time, I decided to follow her, but she disappeared in the crowd.

*Arohi's POV*

I shouldn't have behaved like that, but if I had stopped, he would have asked me a lot of questions I couldn't answer. Besides, I was running late for my work.

From there, I went directly to the mosque where Kabir was waiting for me with a burkha to cover myself fully and avoid recognition. We pretended to be husband and wife for safety, in case something unexpected happened.

As we entered, we started looking for Badal, but instead, we found Abdul and Aslam. So, we decided to follow them, leading us to the backyard of an under-construction building.

We were keeping an eye on them from a distance to listen in without getting caught.

"Salam Bhai Jan, parso dawat hai jo pichli bar puri nahi ho pai thi, lekin iss bar khuda ke bande aaye hain jo iss dawat ko safal karenge, toh zaroor aayega dawat main wahi ha pichli baar hua tha," Badal informed.

According to him, there is going to be a bomb blast at the parliament. Last time, it happened ten years ago, their biggest failure.

As per our plan, Kabir signaled to attack them as they exchanged a bag. We started firing, and they fired back. It was like playing hide and seek, but with the stakes being hide or death.

In the end, we were able to eliminate them and retrieve the bag containing drinks and weapons.

After that, Kabir and I left the area. All my stuff was already in his car. Due to our actions, our enemies were alerted, and it was time to leave. As we exited the street, the decorated hall where the wedding was taking place came into view. For a second, I stopped, feeling a pang of guilt for leaving like this.

Kabir was already gone, so I gathered my courage and was about to leave when Adi came in front of me out of nowhere. For a moment, I was scared of being caught, but he apologized for blocking my way, and I realized he couldn't recognize me. I continued, leaving him behind with my heart.

*Aditya's POV*

She is gone again without even informing. If this is what she wants, I won't disappoint her. I've always given her what she wanted, and if she now wants freedom from me, I won't hold her back. You are free now, Arohi!

Finally, everything is over. Veer and Kavya are happily married, and we are all back home, except her. There is happiness on everyone's face, but because of her, everything is ruined. She's gone, and she must be happy with her new partner!

I was about to go to my room when I heard Isha crying. She is still too young, so she gets stubborn sometimes if she doesn't get what she wants.

"I won't sleep without bhabhi," Isha declared.

"I want Arohi bhabhi to sleep with me," she added, and I felt sorry for her. Arohi's actions hurt everyone who loved her.

But now she is gone, and she isn't coming back, I know.

"She must be tired, and I guess she is already asleep," Isha's mother tried to explain, but Isha wasn't in the mood to understand that.

I decided to ignore it as I was too tired to handle this. I went into my room; there were some bags on the floor, probably hers. I ignored them and decided to take a shower; I needed to get her out of my head.
