Killua's pov:

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"I thought you were innocent, but why would you chocke Nezu!?"

"Oh, you mean my friendly hug?" I smiled

"-he must have watched the cameras. Of course, Nezu would never take a risk like that after all.-"

"A hug!? You-"

I wanted to interrupt him, but surprisingly Nezu was faster than me.

"Don't worry, Shota. We sorted things out. Would you mind waiting outside? If you want to, you can go early."

"-why would he want Shota to leave? Is he trying to gain trust?-"

"Didn't you want to look for the kid who ran away from home?"

"-wait. He was looking for me? Oh my, so kind hearted.~"

I chuckled to my self, imagining a worried Eraserhead searching for a kid that stood in front of him five minutes ago.

"I would rather stay, Nezu." He starred intensely at me.

"Oh, no worries. He can stay."

I smiled at Aizawa, hoping that I could make a 'friend'.

"Under some conditions, I am happy to accept your 'offer', my friend."

"Oh, that sounds lovely!"

"I can't follow you. Nezu, what is this brat talking about?"

"-Hm. So he didn't know? Why wouldn't Nezu just tell him?"

"Well, our little friend will  maybe join UA!"

The old man was so shocked. I think he needed a moment to recover from that strike.

"As I said under a few conditions."

"Anything, my friend!" That crazy shit of a principal said.

"I come and go whenever I want and we hopefully do not do this stalking shit. I hate that."

"I am not really sure about that. I think we should talk about that after we met Tsukauchi. After all, we don't know if you're innocent yet."

"I am fine with that." I shrugged it off.

"Well, then please meet me tomorrow. Is 8 pm alright?"

I didn't mind answering, instead I headed out instantly.

The only thing I could hear before I closed the door behind me was Nezu shouting:

"I will take that as a yes!"

I reached home and fell on my bed. I was pretty satisfied with the day. Just a little more work and I could go back home.

On that day, unlike the other nights in this hell of a world, I could sleep.

No bad dreams, no researching till the morning, just sleeping, peacefully.

Unlike an Underground hero who is probably looking for a scared little boy that doesn't exist.

But it's not like you guys care about my sleeping schedule. Instead you probably remember my deal with Overhaul by now and wonder why I would switch the sites.

Well, it's simple. Overhaul gave me an assignment. You might think, it was something like killing a hero or more 'bad' stuff like that.

Nope, he just wanted to have something in hand against the heroes.

You ask yourself; why would Overhaul need something against the heroes, Killua?

First, it would be a good backup if they get caught and beaten down.

Second and more importantly, he wanted to see the hero-system fall.

Just like me.

I had better intentions behind it though. I wanted this corrupt system to finally find an end, because of the 'bad' people like me, who don't even get a chance to proof themselves.

But only then I realised that people like Overhaul could use that to deal in their business freely. They would bring this world to an end. It wouldn't be the best idea to stop that system.

Not like I care. I just needed to give him what he wanted.

Luckily ,I had a recording of Shoto who was telling his dramatic story about his life with Endeavour, the number two hero.

It would be pretty handy for them to have a recording of a child who got traumatised by his hero father.

Don't get me wrong. I would never give such an personal recording to someone like Overhaul. I am not a monster. Plus, I had better plans with it.

Instead I was thinking of a secret about the number one hero. I didn't know it yet of course, but since the wonderful hero is a teacher at UA I had plenty of time to find out.

But why not just break up with the mafia? It would be a toxic relationship anyway.

Well, I think it would be pretty smart, to have a backup on both sites. And more importantly, I could play them against each other out.

You could say I was really happy with my whole plan.

Shoto's pov:

It was the day after the exam when I watched the news.

I would say by that time I calmed down. I knew I totally overreacted. Tayio was a nice kid and probably had his reasons to walk away without telling me.

"It's not like I need him anyway. Actually I don't care at all." I tried to convince myself, knowing I was telling lies by every word.

I heard the principal of UA talking about an attack of a villain called Hunter.  He was in the same group as Taiyo.

"-That crazy shit of an principal invited that villain!? What if that psycho took Tayio!? He could be injured or worse!-"

"Why you making that face, Sho?"
A calmed, slightly confused voice took me back to reality.

"Natsu."

I tried to calm myself down.

"It's nothing important. A villain broke into UA."

"What?" He looked shocked, but I couldn't handle him at that moment. I ran upstairs.

"Right. Nothing important. Not like I care." I told myself, trying to forget my first friend.
