All or Nothing

I was downstairs cooking breakfast when a maid came in. "Oh, ma'am I didn't know you were awake. Here, let me." she gasped, her voice high. 

"It's okay, I'm almost done," I said with a smile that seemed to calm her nerves. 

"I'm terribly sorry, I didn't think you would be awake this early," she explained playing with her hands. 

"You're okay Ray, you didn't know. If you could, can you wake up my brother and sister and have them come down here?" She nodded her head before heading upstairs and I could hear her soft voice and knocks. 

I made pancakes for myself and my siblings knowing they both loved them. I set the table, placing places and the pancakes along with syrup on the table. I went to the fridge to grab fruit and placed those on the table along with everything else.

While I was grabbing a plate for myself my sister came running down the stairs and hopped in the seat beside me. "Hi, sissy."

"Hey, how'd you sleep?" I asked softly, grabbing her a pancake because she couldn't reach it. 

"So good! This is yummy." Lily said with her mouth full. I laughed and pulled her hair up into a bun for her before she got it all gross. "Well thank you, Lily." 

"Bubba!" she yelled when Enzo came down the stairs, waving at him. He waved back after rubbing his eyes and taking a seat. "Is that my hoodie?" he asked, nodding his head in my direction.

I shook my head, taking a bite of my food. "Are you sure? Because it sure does look like it unless you played football." he laughed. 

"Lily, does this look like Enzo's?" I asked giving her a look. She shook her head and giggled at Enzo before taking a bite of her food. I looked at him and had a smile on my face before he shook his head, a smile also on his face. 

We ate in silence while the maids were cleaning up our rooms and everyone seemed to enjoy their breakfast.

"So what now?" Enzo asked after we were all done eating and Lily had gone to her room. 

"I say we stay here for another week or so while we see where we can go and where we'll be out of trouble for a little bit. We have houses all around so we can just pick one of those and the maids and all of the other workers can get a break. I'm sure they need one." 

I hear the door open and shut before looking at Enzo. We weren't expecting anyone. Enzo pulled out his gun and went to look at who it was. "Shit Logan! Why didn't you call." I heard my brother yell.

I walked into the living room and Logan, our driver, was inside. He'd been away for some time and we didn't know he was coming back, he was supposed to be gone another week. "Well, I got bored and decided to come back early." he shrugged. 

"You missed being bossed around by us?" I asked laughing. 

Logan was like our uncle, he worked for our parents and now he worked for us so I'd known him since I was a baby. "Always," he said before shrugging off his coat. He took a seat on the couch and made himself comfortable. 

"So have you guys figured out when you're moving next? I heard about some killings last night coming in," he asked, turning on the tv. He shuffled to the news and there the bodies were, blurred out of course but definitely there. 

I looked at Logan and he had a questionable look on his face. "Look, it was an accident. They came up to us and tried to talk before they fired. It wasn't our fault." I explained, looking at Enzo for backup. He nodded his head and Logan shook his head. 

"So what's your plan?" 

"We're gonna wait a week because we don't have any business at the moment so there is no reason to move. I mean those killings could be blamed on anyone because of the Italian Mafia." I shrugged, taking a seat across from Logan on a rocking seat. 

"That sounds good, just make sure not to cause any more trouble. I heard that the mafia is looking for trouble at the moment so watch all of your staff closely,"

I nod my head and we all catch up on what happened on Logan's vacation.
