Andromeda had the strangest dream. She was running in the woods, faster than she had ever ran. Wolves were chasing after her and she had felt tears run down her face. She got to a edge of the cliff, terrified the wolves were going to get her.
The wolves stood by her side and Andromeda realized it wasn't the wolves she was running from. The trees shook and darkness surrounded her. She watched a hand reach out of the trees, bloody and disfigured. She screamed and jerked awake.
Her head hurt terribly and she felt quite dizzy. She looked around at her surroundings. She was on a ship in the middle if the ocean. Many pirates surrounded her. She was tied to a pole with Percivil on the other side. The rocking of the ship would have been comforting if she wasn't terrified. "Percy?" She asked, squeezing his hand hard. He groaned. He seemed to be in more pain than her, which was fair. They most likely hit him harder.
"Oh my god..." she muttered under her breath.
"Look who's up! The captain wants to see his pretty little prize." A pirate said, leaning down to her face sporting his gruesome breath. She jerked her head away. "Let. Us. Go." Andromeda said through gritted teeth.
The pirates only laughed. "What are you gonna do? Smile at me with your pretty face?" Another pirate laughed. "Or, maybe your little boyfriend will beat me up." One picked her up and held her arms above her head and twirled her. The other pirates laughed hysterically.
"He is not my boyfriend!" Andromeda said, struggling.
"Really? Thats what you care about right now? Telling them we aren't dating?" Percivil said, annoyance filling his voice.
"Take her to the captain!"
Andromeda was dragged into the captains cabin, shoved and locked in. A man sat on his desk, sharpening a knife. Andromeda took notice of his features, attractive yet evil. He had a sharp jawline and a short beard. His hair was brown and he had striking blue eyes. She noticed his arm, which seemed to be entirely made out of gold.
He noticed her and smiled standing up. He walked up to her. Her hands were bound so she couldn't do much even if she wanted to. "Well hello gorgeous." He smirked.
"Tsk tsk, you look quite a mess. Your dress is all torn." He starting lifting the dress up and she stepped on his foot hard. He barely flinched and just laughed instead. "Oh dear Andromeda, feisty are we?"
"How do you know my name?" She questioned him, looking him in the eye. He just chuckled and grinned. "Why, of course I know your name. Your quite famous. You're almost always referred to as the most beautiful in the land."
"I don't suppose you know me?" He said.
She shook her head no and he stood in a strong pose. "My name is Captain Davey Silver and I am to be your new husband." He smiled.
"Not this again." She groaned. "I will not marry you, I don't even know you and I will not used for my looks or my body. You will set me and Percivil free and not place a hand on either of us." She said all of this with false authority in her voice. "Hm, tempting offer, but well, no. You sure are head strong." Captain Silver laughed. He took his knife and cut her bonds.
He picked up a gorgeous red dress with black lace and handed it to her. "Change quickly dear. I want to spend time with my new fiancé." He smile and turned to leave the room. "Wait!" She yelled and he turned. "What will happen to Percivil?" She questioned. "Oh why, we'll use him for ransom of course. If not, I have no need for him so he'll walk the plank."
And with that, he turned and left. She changed hastily, struggling to tighten the corset by herself, but managing. She noticed some red lipstick left for her and she put it on. She brushed her hair out with her fingers and sighed at her reflection. She would almost look normal if it wasn't for the bruises and cuts on her face. She walked over to the door with caution. She wasn't exactly sure whether she should stay in here or go out to the deck. She peeked out the window and saw the captain yelling orders, while Percivil was still stuck outside. She looked around the room searching for any way of escape.
She found a small pocket knife and she decided to shove it down her bra, considering nobody would expect it. She also found her bag she packed sitting in a drawer. She realized it wouldn't exactly fit so she would leave it.
She figured she should go outside and see what she should do. She was worrying about Percivil and of course herself. She had just gotten away from marriage and now, she was being forced right back into it. Percivil would be sold, his parents would obviously buy him back. It wouldn't even be a problem for them. Andromedas parents would definitely buy her back but she would just be forced to marry Stephan. That's if the captain would even let her go. Although he seemed pretty set on marrying her.
So she took a breath and opened the door. She stepped outside and sighed. "Why hello princess, we've got work to do." The captain smirked.
