The inn they stayed in was quite nice. It was a small place, but cozy. A fireplace burned and the room had vines and flowers decorating everywhere. Percivil and Andromeda walked inside carrying the money Percivil managed to save from the wreck. He had around $30, and the still needed to figure out meals. They had lost about $9000 in the wreck. It would be difficult, but Percivil said they would find a way to make some money. Andromeda loved the place the moment she walked in. She was used to large places, giant boats, and huge rooms. The simple atmosphere was nice and made Andromeda appreciate everything that was going her way.
The moment they got up to the front desk Andromeda spoke up to the frail lady sitting there. "I love your place, it's quite lovely." She smiled.
The lady looked up and grinned. "I'm glad you like it dearie, now what can I do for ya?" She asked, her voice sweet and soft.
"How much are the two-bed rooms?" Andromeda asked.
"$35." She answered.
Percivil looked at Andromeda. He cleared his throat quite loudly. "Uh, how much do the one- bed rooms cost?" He asked his voice slightly higher with every word he spoke.
"$20."
"We'll take the one-bed room." Percivil said. Andromeda looked at him. Her eyebrows furrowed and she pursed her lips. "You do realize that means we have to share a bed?" She exclaimed, as the lady gave them a concerned look. "I'll sleep on the floor," Pervcivil explained. Andromeda relaxed and nodded.
"Oh, I thought you two might have been married." The lady chuckled.
"Oh goodness no." Andromeda laughed trying to play it cool. Although she knew deep down she would have liked it very much if they actually were married. "I don't think I could handle her." Percivil laughed. Andromeda stepped on his foot and he grunted. The lady just smiled awkwardly.
They paid and the lady handed them the keys. Their room was on the second floor, (There were only 2 floors) and it was small but cozy. It got dark quickly and soon enough it was time for bed. Andromeda took off most of her clothes until she was only in undergarments. She was folding them up into a nice pile and placed them on the chair. Percivil was staring at her and he looked shocked. "What, you expect me to sleep in that huge dress?" She debated. He looked her up and down.
"Well no but-"
"Then quit staring."
With that, she threw a pillow at him and got in bed. She threw him a blanket and got comfortable herself. He laid down on the floor with a sigh. The room was silent and both of them should have been able to fall asleep. For some reason, they couldn't. They laid there in silence for around an hour before Andromeda finally spoke up.
"It's cold..." she whispered.
"Agreed." he laughed.
"Are you comfortable? On the floor I mean," Andromeda questioned quietly. "As comfortable as I can be on the floor..." he answered sarcastically. "You can come up here... I mean if you want," she asked shyly.
"You sure?" He wondered.
"Just get up here before I freeze to death or change my mind." She demanded. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" He exclaimed laughing. He climbed up into the bed and laid down next to Andromeda. Instead of feeling warmer, Andromeda felt chills when she felt his body press up against hers. It took a few seconds to adjust, but once she did, she snuggled in close to him. He wrapped her in his arms and Andromeda was flooded with warmth. She realized that even if they were very low on money, they were on the run, and they had very little supplies, there was nowhere else she would rather be.
His arms were her favorite place. Being with him was her favorite thing. He made her feel like she could be completely herself. She didn't know how he felt towards her, but she knew in her heart that she loved him. She loved him more than anything she had ever known. She would have given up any riches to be with him, and that is what she did.
She didn't know what the future held for them. She knew that it was going to be hard and may take a lot of work. Hell, she could even be taken back. All she knew, is that she was happy in this moment, and that was enough for her.
Percivil was holding her tightly and Andromeda was wondering just what was going on in his head. "Andy, you need to sleep." He murmured. He sounded tired and Andromeda couldn't help but think it was adorable. "I'm tryinggg." She said, her words slightly muffled because her face was buried in his chest.
"I can just tell your brains doing that thing where it goes ten miles a minute. Care to share your thoughts?" He inquired. Andromeda wanted to tell him how she felt. She wanted so badly for him to know. But she held back. She didn't want to ruin the friendship. Plus, she wasn't all the way sure if he felt the same toward her.
"Nothing." She yawned. He scoffed and squeezed her slightly. Slowly their breaths became slower and slower until they both drifted off into sleep. What Percivil was dreaming of, who knows? But Andromeda?
Andromeda had one of the worst nightmares she would ever have.
