Modern AU/ Uni;
"Makkii don't ignore me!" Nobara groaned leaning in her chair, already dangerously close to falling. This was supposed to be a study date but Nobara had quite quickly grown restless and insisted on studying 'later' — which to her means 2 hours before the exam. Though to her credit she'd still always pass, albeit sleep deprived.
A sigh was heard from the other woman showing that she had indeed heard Nobara but just choose to ignore her. Nobara couldn't help her whining like an ignored child when in all honesty, she felt like one. Having Maki's attention always meant the world to her but when it was taken away she acted... A bit spoiled.
She stood up and sat on the desk where her and Maki had been working. "We can just finish later. I promise just 30 minutes."
"Please Senpai?"
She tried putting on her best puppy dog eyes as she looked down at her senior. Although they were only a year apart and Maki told her at their first meeting to drop the honorifics, Nobara knew, she knew that being called 'senpai' was her achilles heel. Especially when Nobara was the one saying it.
She could see the widening of the other's eyes at the title, the blush slowly creeping up her neck and ears, and the pure defeat of her tone as she spoke,
"Nobara..."
She knew she'd won, she grinned, huge, ear to ear at her victory and laughed at the flush on the other's ears.
Maki sighed. "Okay. But what would we even do anyway? There's a huge storm outside. Everyone's more or less stuck in their dorms." Oh, yeah. They did have too much free time on their hands. More than they knew what to do with to be honest. But, Nobara always had a way or two to entertain herself.
"Bake off."
"Bake... Off?"
"We call the boys over and we have a baking competition. Best bake goods wins."
Maki, knowing Nobara for a while now knew this would end in disaster but, she was also really bored too and she really couldn't be bothered with convincing the girl otherwise. Once Nobara'd make up her mind she was a suborn person to convince.
She laid her head on Nobara's thighs and nuzzled. "Alright. A bake off. I'll get the things ready." She spoke into Nobara's legs sounding a bit muffled.
"And I'll text the boys." Nobara smiled.
