Tori walked into Sikowitz' classroom with Cat on Monday morning. She noticed Jade sitting further back than usual, probably because she had recently broken up with Beck. She decided to be nice and go talk to Jade, along with Cat.
"Hey Jade. So, did you meet the new student yet?"
Jade looked up from her styrofoam cup of coffee and smirked. "I didn't even want to meet you when you were new."
"Well!" Tori huffed and rolled her eyes. "Cat and I tried to be friendly and say hello to him, but he was very rude.. He kinda reminded me of you." She smirked. "Apparently, his name is Ethan. He transferred here from -" Jade cut her off.
"I don't care."
"He's not like your level mean, but he did seem really mean.. and scary!" Cat added fiddling with her fingers.
Jade scoffed. "Everything scares you. You're a baby."
"Nuh-uh." Cat pouted.
"Hey, maybe now that you and Beck are done, you could get yourself a new boyfriend? He seems perfect for you. He's just as horrible and vicious." Tori said with a condescending tone. She was done being nice.
Jade rolled her eyes. "I don't care about some new loser." Jade's eyes drifted to the door when Beck walked in with Andre, then she quickly looked down before they could catch her staring. "Plus, relationships are crap anyway!" Jade said loud enough for him to hear.
Beck glanced over and frowned, then he rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to his conversation with Andre about some new song.
Robbie rushed into the room. "This just in! New kid in Sikowitz' class!"
"Wait.. this is his class?!"
"Problem Vega?"
"He's scary." Cat answered for Tori.
"And almost as rude as you."
Jade smirked. "Well then, he can't be all that bad." She saw a face she never saw before walking into the room and knew it must be the new kid.
His hair was shorter than Beck's. It was slicked back and greasy, while Beck had more wavy and fluffy hair. His black leather jacket made his green eyes stand out, and his black combat boots almost matched hers. He ran a hand through his hair, revealing a skull on his hand, but Jade couldn't tell if it was an actual tattoo or just done with a sharpie. She had to admit he was attractive, definitely not as good looking as Beck, but he was something to look at, instead of spending another class staring at Beck, wondering if he still loved her.
The last time they broke up, he said he never stopped loving her, but this time was different. This time, she knew that if he loved her, he would have opened the door. Trying not to think about Beck anymore was hard, so Jade decided that she would focus her attention on the new guy.
To her surprise, he glanced over at her with a cocky smirk on his face and gave her a flirtatious wink. In that moment he made her skin crawl and she found him repulsive, but when Beck noticed the exchange and slightly frowned she had a glimmer of hope that maybe he did still love her so she smirked back at the new guy and added a flirty little wave.
Luckily, Sikowitz burst through the room and started class , so the flirting between them was paused for a moment.
But after class was over, Tori walked to the new guy with Jade. He looked up and grinned at the two girls.
"I already told you that I'm not into girls like you." He scoffed at Tori.
Tori rolled her eyes. "I just thought I'd introduce you to my friend, Jade."
"I'm not your friend." Jade snapped.
He chuckled. "Sup, I'm Ethan."
"Nice name." Jade smirked.
"Nice bod." He smirked back.
"Hey Jade, can you come here?" A voice called out.
Jade glanced over at Beck. "Why?!" She yelled at him. "What do you want?!" Still feeling the pain of heartbreak she could only yell.
"Just come here for a minute!"
"No!" Jade refused.
"Your boyfriend getting jealous?" Ethan smirked over at Beck.
Jade scoffed. "Ex boyfriend, and he doesn't get jealous." She rolled her eyes. "I don't care anymore."
Ethan grinned. He could tell her ex-boyfriend was getting jealous, and he felt very amused by it, so he decided to play a game and see how far he could take it before the other guy snapped. "Wanna hang out sometime? I know a cool place to have some fun."
"Are you asking me out?"
"If it wasn't obvious."
Jade looked over at Beck and saw him watching her. "Fine. I guess I'll make some time for you."
"But Jade, he's scary." Cat whispered, walking up to them.
"Shut up!" Jade and Ethan snapped at her, laughing at the fact that they shouted the same thing at the same time. Cat whimpered and ran off.
"Ignore her." Jade rolled her eyes.
Ethan chuckled. "I plan too." He glanced over at Tori. "You can go away anytime now."
"You can ignore her too."
"I'd rather she just leave."
Tori scoffed. "Well!" She walked away from the two dressed in black and over to Beck and Andre.
"That guy is as rude as Jade."
"Did he just ask Jade out?" Beck frowned, staring at the new couple.
"Yeah. I told Jade she should go out with him." Tori smirked. "Awe, are you jealous?"
"Toriiii. Girl, when are you gonna learn to stay outta things." Andre groaned.
"What? They seem perfect for each other. Jade is mean and scary, and so is he! It's like a match made in.. wherever the bad matches are made. Are you okay, Beck?" Tori frowned.
"I'm fine. I just don't like that guy. He looks like bad news. I don't want Jade to keep bad company around."
"He looks like Jade." Tori said.
Andre nodded his head. "Yeah, kinda, ye- almost exactly, like Jade."
"No." Beck shook his head. "Jade is different. Jade isn't like him. You don't know her."
"Are we talking about the same Jade? The one who poured her iced coffee over my head on my first day, might I add?"
"The one who threw a rock at you when you told her you were friends with some other girl." Andre added.
Beck huffed. "Yes, Jade, my Jade. She isn't like that guy, and I don't think she should befriend him."
"Well, I think she's gonna date him, not just befriend him." Tori corrected.
"That's even worse!" Beck snapped at her. "Why would you make her go out with him, Tori?" He scoffed.
"Because you two have been broken up for over three months now, and I thought you weren't gonna get back together, so it's fine if Jade dates someone new. Are you upset?" Tori asked starting to feel bad about telling Jade to date someone other than Beck
"I'm not upset, and I'm not jealous. Jade can date again if she wants, but I don't want her to date that guy. I don't like the vibe I get from him."
"I think Beck finally got a taste of jealousy, and it tastes bitter." Andre chuckled.
Tori chuckled along until Beck glared at them. "Sorry."
"I am not jealous."
Tori and Andre gave each other a look that said they didn't buy it, then they shrugged it off.
Beck turned to look at Jade again, but she was already walking out of the classroom with the new guy. He frowned and walked away from his friends without another word.
"He is so jealous." Tori stated.
"Oh yeah, definitely."
