Noel and I made our way down the roof and ran over to Dad. "Dad just fell off the roof! Am I disappearing?! I feel faint!" I said, panicking. I fell to my knees dramatically. "Tell Bernard I love him!" I exclaimed, preparing to vanish and thin air.

...But nothing happen. I pause and look at my hands, confused and slightly disappointed. "Huh." I muttered. Noel kneels down next to Dad, leaning in close to his ear. "Forgive me, Santa, for what I'm about to do." He said.

Noel takes a deep breath and yells into Dad's ear, a big gust of wind blowing out of his mouth. "WAKE UP!!!" Dad gasps and sits up on his knees. "Ow! Why are you yelling?" He asked.

"Because when my best friend's laying on the ground non-responsive for 15 minutes, I yell!" Noel replied. "Did we rip our sack?" Dad asked, standing up. "No, it still up on the roof." I said, getting up as well and pointing towards the roof.

"Oh, good. Let's go, but don't tell anybody I fell off the roof." Dad said, limping away. "Got it. No one but Betty and Bernard." Noel said. "Not Betty of Bernard. Nobody!" Dad said, firmly.

"Right. I won't tell a soul, except Mrs. Claus." Noel said. "Not Mrs. Claus." Dad said. "And Betty." Noel added. "Not Betty." Dad said, annoyed. "Well I'm telling, Bernard." I said. "Don't tell Bernard." Dad said. "Doc Martin." Noel said. "No. Not my doctor. No one." Dad said, sternly.

We finished up our router and returned to the North Pole, the elves cheering when we came down the lift. "No, no, no! Cut the bubbles! Cut the bubbles! Everyone, there's been an incident. Oh, my gosh! No, no, no! Hide the cake! Hide the cake! Back, back, back! Everyone, be quite! Everybody, quiet! There's been an incident, but don't panic! Okay? Don't panic! I said don't panic, but I'm totally panicking!" Edie said, frantically.

Edie takes in a deep breath and smiles nervously, waving to us as we climb out of the sleigh. "Okay, everyone, this way, this way! Let's give them some space. Let's give them some space. Come on! This way, this way. Going, going, going..." She said, guiding the elves out.

"Oh, Scott! (Name)! We were so worried again." Carol said, rushing over with Bernard, Cal, Sandra, and Clementine. Carol hugs Dad while Bernard practically tackles me with a hug. "What happened never doing that again?" He asked me. "Well, it wasn't my fault." I grumbled.

"Oh, gosh. Do you mean about tonight?" Dad asked pull away from Carol. "Yeah." Carol replied. "You know me. The world's greatest showman. I was just goofing on everybody. We should be celebrating. Where all the music and merriment?" Dad asked.

"Grandpa I told you not to go out tonight." Clementine said, looking up at him with big worry eyes. "Oh sweetie, it's okay. Nothing went wrong. Like I said, it was just a joke." Dad said, ruffling her hair.

"Nothing, butter cake. Everything was super-duper." Noel said and we all turn to see him talking to his wife. "Peachy keen. Hunky-dory. Easy as pie. Boffo. Gangbusters. Dope." He said, he's nervous, smile getting bigger and bigger.

"Noel." Dad said, exasperated. "Not cracking. Not cracking." Noel said, closing his eyes and looking away. "Just tell her." Dad said. "THE BIG MAN FELL LFF THE ROOF!" Noel yelled, pointing at Dad.

"Oh, Scott." Carol said, turning to him. "It was horrible! My whole life flashed before my eyes! Santa was in it more than you. He never said, 'I love you,' but I knew. I'm so sorry I lied to you!" Noel said to Betty, and ran away sobbing.

"I think it's time we talk about something, in private." Bernard said to Dad and I look at him worried.

Dad and I follow, Bernard and Betty to the office where Curtis brought in the magnifying glasses to ride very very, very, very, VERY, small text on the bottom of a card.
