Arina's dad was kinda scary. I remember last Christmas I bought him a tie. He looked at it and eyed me. Then, he asked me if it was polyester or cotton. I replied and told him it was cotton. He patted me on the back really hard. When I took a shower that night, I still had his big red hand print. I think Mr. Devon is a CEO of something secret. He might be a Drug dealer. I told Arina but she didn't listen. She says he's a very successful lawyer.

Mr. Devon gave us each $20 and we headed out. He offered to call us an Uber but we declined. I think it would be more fun to walk. "Sofie!" Manuel said. Sofie turned around, she looked a little bit confused. Sofie turned back around and continued talking to Arina. "Boo!" Manuel screamed. "Sofie jumped. It looked like the poor girl had a heart attack. When you look at Sofie you wouldn't think she's easy to scare. She looks like she's the one who does the scaring. Her long black hair goes down to her back. She has white highlights in it. She always has jeans on and some type of T-shirt. She used to wear skirts and dresses but she stopped ever since she found out what Cameron and his friends had been saying about her.

Her blue eyes and long eyelashes are the only thing about her that doesn't scare me. I don't get why I'm scared of Sofie. I love her (as a friend of course) but her shirts have so many horror movies on them. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a horror movie when I'm with her. I'm just kidding. Sofie isn't scary. She's like the baby of the group. If anything happened to Sofie I would be so upset. I wouldn't know what to do. Not that I like her or anything. Me and Sofie have been through stuff together. She's like the little sister I never had. When her parents were getting divorced, I found out that my grandmother had died. So, we stuck together through it all.

I'm really grateful for her to be honest. When we got to 7/11, we saw a couple making out on the side of the store. As we walked closer to the doors, we noticed that the girl was wearing the shirt that Sofie had bought Ashlyn for Christmas. Then, we noticed that she had the same exact blonde hair as Ashlyn. "Dude, I think that's Ashlyn." I said. "Only one way to find out." Manuel said. "What do you mean?" Arina asked. She looked at Manuel. He pulled out his phone and started to call someone. Suddenly, the girl's phone rang. The girl pulled back from the boy. She quickly pulled out her phone and ignored the call. Manuel's phone got a notification. He pulled all of us out of the girl's sight. He got a text from Ashlyn.

Can't talk right now. I'm busy.

Oh, when are you gonna come hang out with the gang? We're all waiting for you.

Can't tonight. Sorry.

You always do that.

I'm sorry. Maybe next time, Manuel. I gtg.

Mhm.

"That Bastard." Manuel yelled. He walked all the way to the side of the store. We all followed like little minions. "Are you serious Ashlyn?" He screamed at the girl. She pulled away from the guy again. "I'm sorry?" The girl said as she walked into the light. Judging by her face it looked like she was surprised. "Wow Ashlyn. I'm in shock and I am disgusted." Manuel said. He didn't even look her in the eyes. Manuel only does that to try to avoid screaming at you until you end up crying. "I'm sorry guys.." She spoke. Sofie walked up. "No. We have given you chance after chance Ashlyn. You yelled at Arina because she wore the same $15 dollar dress as you to church. That wasn't very holy ,now was it Ashlyn? You haven't hung out with us in two months! In case you forgot we hang out every weekend! Kaleb, how many times did she miss hanging out with us?" She said, I've never seen Sofie this upset before. The group usually depended on me to do the math related stuff.

"Eight times. But everytime she misses it she always promises to be there next time. Liar. Instead of hanging out with the people who care about her she hangs out with a douchebag!" I replied. Ashlyn looked like she was about to cry. If I'm being honest, I liked Ashlyn. I really did. "Guys, you know I love you all. But I have a boyfriend now. And he is not a douchebag!" She said back. "He doesn't even love you!" Arina joined. "Yes, he does."Ashlyn screamed back. "Look at him now! He's smiling at his phone, probably texting some other girl instead of defending you." Manuel said. Ashlyn turned around, She flipped her hair off her shoulder as she made a "Hmph!" sound. She walked up to Cameron. "Babe?" She said,

Cameron's nasty grin swept clean off his face. "What, Ashley?" He replied. He couldn't even remember her name. "Uh, I know you do of course. But my friends don't believe me but do you love me?" She asked him. He looked shocked that she'd asked such a question. His face turned a little pale. He looked her up and down in what seemed to be disgust. Then, he looked at Sofie and Arina up and down. I gave Sofie my jacket to cover herself up since I could tell she seemed uncomfortable. I tapped Manuel to give Arina his hoodie since she seemed uncomfortable as well. If I had an extra jacket or hoodie I would've given it to Arina.
