"Well Tac." I said, looking down at my hood boy, "let's get this over with yea?"
As if he was answering me, He looked up at me and let out a snort.

"Before we go in, let's take a potty break," I told him. Then I retrieved eco-friendly dog bags from his dog backpack and walked over to a grassy area where he relieved himself.

As soon as he is done I bag it up, trying not to gag and quickly dispose of the evidence. "Good Lord boy, what did you eat this morning?" I asked looking down at him while sanitizing my hands.

Taking a moment to ensure that we are both straightened away, before walking in. "Let's get this over with boy."

The building captivated me when I stepped inside. I mean it was huge! Thus, it would appear that Mrs. Snyder's only reason for wanting me to be here is because they have the money to spend on redecorating.

Despite the dark and gloomy environment, it still seems elegant and beautiful, although it could use an update.

After tiring of adjusting my outfit for the umpteenth time, I let out a breath I hadn't noticed I was holding, and made my way to the receptionist's desk.

"Mrs. Blanchard?" The lady at the desk asked before I could even announce my presence or why I was here.

"Yes?" I asked with a quirk in my eyebrow. The soft ears of Tac kept on snapping at the ruckus of noises around us as he kept on high alert.

"Great" she announced with no emotion at all, "head to the 60th floor. Elevators are on your right, go ahead and go up, you will be met by someone on that floor, who will guide you on your way!" The fake enthusiasm oozing out like some disease, as her eyes never left the computer infront of her.

"Wow, okay," I huffed under my breath, turning on my heels towards the elevators, Tac quick in tow. "Let's go boy." I encouraged, even though I really didn't have to, being he was already following suit, matching me step for step. His muscles flexing with every movement.

Pressing the button to the elevators, I press the button before moving my hand to Tacs fluffy head, burying it in his fur, keeping my hand there. Once the doors opened, I quickly stepped in with him, and played the waiting game, as the elevator doors closed again, only this time we are going with it in its ascent.

I don't know why but I feel nervous, my heart is beating frantically and my stomach feels as though the whole Australian zoo is having a party in there.

Maybe it was something I ate?

I know Tac could tell, the incessant tapping of my foot didn't help my case any. In his efforts to try to get me to stop, he nudged my leg with his snout before leaning his body against mine.

The elevator door opened and I was greeted by a rather beautiful woman whose melanin skin was milky smooth, her hair was in a beautiful shoulder length curly afro. A round nose, rosy cheeks, sting jawline and announced cheekbones adjourned her facial features.

"Hi I'm Ms. Blakely, But you can call me charlotte! You must be Ms. Blanchard?"

"Yes ma'am, that would be I." I said taking her outstretched hand with a smile, shaking her hand. Professional yet enthusiastic, I like it. Makes a working space lively.

"Dashing, and you have Manners? I bet you're a real crowd pleaser huh?" She joked with a wink, causing me to chuckle with a playful shake of my head.

"Gotta make the world go round somehow ma'am."

Which only got me a smile and a shake of her head from her.

"And who might this be?" She all but squealed, finally acknowledging Tac, who kind of gave her a bored look, but his tail slowly moved to and fro.

It took everything in me not to cringe away from the squealing, Tacs poor ears..

"This would be my service/guard dog Tac." I gestured to him, and all he did was stare her down with a curious gaze.

"Well he is a handsome boy isn't he? Well enough of stealing your time. If you would be so kind as to follow me, I will show you to Mrs. Snyders office."

••

Upon entering the office Charlotte told me to take a seat, before she left, informing me that the Snyders would be with me shortly. But I didn't feel like sitting just yet, call me restless. So instead I got up and wandered around, not wanting to snoop seeming as how that is rude and invasive, I settled for staring through the ceiling to floor windows, watching the evening sky and passerby, going about their business.

"Beautiful, Isn't it?"
