"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Harbors pov
An attractive, raspy voice speaks out into the room, breaking the silence. Causing a startled yelp to leave my lips.
Clutching my chest as I try to control my frantic heart, I turn with Tac pinned to my side.Low menacing rumbles emanating from his diaphragm, his body tense and alert.
I was stunned to meet the gaze of two stunningly regal women, both standing probably a foot and a half taller than me.
As soon as our gazes locked, I got a sensation of what I can only describe as electrical currents course across my skin.
"Mine" they both said, through their low growls making it harder for me to hear what they said.
Shocked I take a step back from fright and pure confusion alike.
Tac immediately assumed into his protective stance in between my legs, pushing the back of his big head against the lower portion of my belly.
This seemed to snap the beautiful women out of their weird little trance, seeming as the slightly taller of the two raised their hands in surrender.
She Made a show of slowly easing her way closer to me as if not to spook me, but quickly stopped her ascent once Tacs growls got deafeningly louder.
"Easy boy." I said my eye contact not breaking with the woman that I recognized, as her wife stood a couple of feet infront of me. My fingers entangling in Tacs fur anxiously.
"Sorry little one, I didn't mean to spook you m, I thought you heard us come in." The woman with her hands raised said.
Why do they keep calling me little one? I know I'm short but dang! They can't be much older than me..
"We are older" I heard the woman I recognized mumble out.
"Excuse me?" I questioned, steadily getting more and more confused. I don't think I said that out loud, did I say that out loud? I could physically feel my cheeks becoming flush.
"Nothing dear, you'll find out in due time." The taller of the two tried reasoning. Which only lead to me crossing my arms, letting out a groan of annoyance.
Tac must have come to the conclusion that they were not a threat, because he was no longer growling and settled for just eyeing them down.
"I promise it will all make sense in due time, for now let us get the pleasantries out of the way, shall we?" Even though she asked me, it seemed more as though it were a demand, but why would I argue if it saved us from this awkward whatever this is.
"Tac, Fuss." (Heel) I commanded softly, to which he spun around to stick to my side. Once he moved, I slowly nodded my head, watching as she proceeded forward, with her hand outstretched , in what can only be presumed as an invite for a handshake.
Taking her hand, I was shocked my how smooth her skin was.
" Pleasure to meet you, I am Evelyn Snyder, but you may call me Evelyn, and this is my wife-" she introduced, but I interrupted before she could finish.
"Corrine right? I didn't know you were a Snyder." I chuckled, swiping a curl behind my ear.
"Maybe I would've gotten to telling you if you had put my number to hood use." She smirked, walking over to us, while her wife looked between the both of us, shock adjourning her features.
"I'm sure you're wife is happy to know that you're dishing out your number to some random stranger you met at a cafe." I smarted off, with a smug smirk on my face.
Adjusting my stance slightly, I do my best to stare her down with an intimidating stare.
I was shocked when all she did was shake her head and chuckle. Was something I said funny?"Trust me dear, she didn't mind at all."
"Y'all do know it is rude to talk as if I am not in y'all's presence." Evelyn all but rasped out, evil eyeing us down. Is it getting hot in here? No? Just me?
Shrinking back a little bit, I cast my eyes downward. "Yes ma'am." I squeak out lowly.
Soft smiles crept upon their faces at my reaction. Wait what am I doing? Fixing my posture I quickly corrected myself " I mean of course Mrs. Snyder, it won't happen again."
"Good" Evelyn said with a sly smirk, subtly raking her eyes down my body.
I want to seem intimidating and professional, not some shy mess, really what am I doing? I have two beautiful women in-front of me and I loose all sense of confidence and reason really?
I try to fix my posture discreetly, standing as straight as I can. Can't have them thinking I'm anything less than. But. My cheeks were not agreeing with me on the matter, the damn betrayers.
"Pleasure to meet y'all, I'm Harbor Blanchard." Trying to break the awkwardness, well at least my awkwardness. But that settles nothing.
"A-anyways may we get started?" I all but stuttered out, removing my hands from Tacs fur so that I could wring my hands out in front of me.
Ugh, I hate my anxiety.
Tac quietly made his way in front of me, staying as close to me as possible, nuzzling my hands with his snout to stop my nervous tics.
Letting out a breath I was holding, I let go of my hands and instead stroke his fur, and whispered lowly, "Thanks buddy."
"Of course dear, why don't we take seats to discuss the matter at hand," Evelyn replied, making a hand gesture to a mahogany desk that had a big comfy looking swivel chair on one side, and two leather cushioned brown/tan chairs on the other.
"Thank you."
Calmly walking over to one of the tan chairs, I pointed to the ground beside of it. "Tac, Heir." (Come) I commanded in a soft tone, waiting as he did so, before telling him to lay down.
"Good boy Tac," I praise, taking my seat.
Grabbing my fancy yet simple backpack, I dig through it's contents before pulling out a tablet and it's stylus, so that I may take notes.
"Well I guess I'll sit by you little mouse." Corrine mused, plopping into the seat with a wink. Her wife walking around the desk in an imposing manner of one that held high authority, graciously taking seating herself.
"Corrine you are such a flirt," Evelyn chastised playfully, grabbing a stack of papers off of her desk to align them, before setting them back down.
"I can't help it," Corrine teased, "I see what I want, and I strive for it." She finished her statement locking eye contact with me, while sending a wink my way. She adjusted herself in her seat, throwing her hands lazily behind her head, but in a manner that somehow still seemed poised, yet cocky.
I sat there looking at her flabbergasted, blinking in an owl like fashion, "woah-woah-wo-" I started off, flinging my hands in the air before Evelyn cut me off.
"Alright alright, let us just get started, shall we children?" She playfully reprimanded with a roll of her eyes.
