"Lola" Riah sung calling out to her 1 year old daughter as she walked into the house ready to see her baby. Riah been at work almost all day.
Being a Human Resource Manager can be hard. When people can't do they job right so now you have to firing them which means you have to have multiple interviews.
Stressful at it's finest.
Swiftly kicking off her heels Riah damn near ran upstairs to her younger sister—Salem bedroom knowing Lola was with her.
Ka'Liyah has multiple nicknames but the common ones are Lola, Lolabunny or just Bunny.
When Riah was pregnant with Liyah she wanted to name her baby girl Lola since her favorite character was Lolabunny from Space Jam but her mother was telling her not to do it.
Now thinking back on it she should have because that's her child but Ka'Liyah fits her also.
Knocking on the door twice Riah walked in without getting permission from Salem that was on the other side of the room.
Seeing her mom walk through the door Lola started squealing reaching out for her mother,dropping her purse on Salem bed Riah picked up Liyah swaying side to side as she gave her a hug.
Se'Riah has 2 younger sisters. Salem who's 19 and Dawn who's 20. They all live in a 4 bedroom house together not wanting to live far away from eachother.
Since they parents aren't down here in Carolina they all wanted to stay together. They been sticking together since they was smaller, nothing was going to change that.
With them living together it was easier for someone to pick up Liyah from daycare when either Dawn or Salem wasn't or off work.
Ka'Liyah attends to this Montessori Daycare where the method of education involves children's natural interests and activities rather than formal teaching methods.
People have been telling Riah not to enroll her child into that school because the school has some drawbacks like the lack of consistent quality implementation.
"Did you have fun with tt Salem today" Riah asked wiping the slob from her mouth, Ka'Layah recently turned 1 in May so she was still on her pacifier.
Riah wasn't going to force her to stop using her pacifier just like she's not going to stop her from breastfeeding, whenever Liyah is ready she will stop herself.
Instead of responding Lola put her face in her momma neck, looking over at the clock that was on Salem nightstand she realized it's almost time for her nap.
"After I picked her up from school, I went straight to chick-fil-a and got the uh spicy deluxe meal and her the chicken nuggets kids meal" Salem spoke getting up from her bed to clean up Lola toys.
Riah rubbed her back feeling the slow steady breaths on her neck, she was definitely sleep.
" I know she dont suppose to be eating sweets fr but she too adorable to be saying no,so went to get ah slushy and after that I took her a bathe"
Riah nodded her head, "Thank you when I get rich some day I will pay you I promise" Riah uttered telling her the same lie she tell everyone else.
Se'Riah is damn near already rich tbh.
"You dont have to pay me to watch my niece and stop telling folks that damn lie" Salem laughed walking out her room with Lola toys in her hand.
Riah followed her to Lola room making small talk on the way there, "Dawn still at work probably wont get off til later" Riah inquired walking over to the changing station changing her before she lay down for a nap.
Liyah is starting to show signs of potty training so during nap time she will wear ah pull up hoping she will get the idea that she needs to start using the potty soon.
