Eye Contact Part 1 :)

He didn't know what it was.

No matter what he tried he could never hold eye contact.

It was always him that looked away first.

Being Shanks, this annoyed him, it wasn't fair. His goal was to get you to look away first and he wasn't gonna stop until he succeed.

It was early morning on the Red Force. Your eyes fluttered open as you stretched, getting your body prepared for the day. You slowly sat up rubbing your eyes as you sat there for a bit and zoned out.

Soon you got up and went towards your closet when you felt your heart leap out of your body when you saw your captian standing at the door.

You open up the door and start off a conversation.
"Morning captain, what brings you here...and how long have you been there?" You asked looking puzzled as you make eye contact with him.

He then returned the eye contact and replied with,"Morning ______"
The conversation went on as you two spoke about plans for the day when you noticed the way he looked at you. It had this warmth to it, you couldn't describe it. You smiled at this as he continued to talk about his plans while still looking into his eyes.

Shanks suddenly looked away and you couldn't help but notice a soft pink tint on his cheeks. He seemed awkward as he cleared his throat before beginning to walk away. "I'll see you at breakfast ______" he said with a wave and his trademark smile. You giggled at this action, "Cute" you thought to yourself as you waved back, watching him walk away rather quickly.
