Unexpected Part 2

Hermione & Luna

"Wow Luna, I feel as I'm indebted to you." Harry stated

"Oh, please. Anyone would have done it for a friend." Luna blushed

"I hope to repay you, somehow."

"No need. I've been known as Loony for so long, its nice for someone to see past that. See you later, Hermione?"

"Count on it."

"Oh I know that look." Harry smiled

"Excuse me?"

"I think you fancy Luna."

"I do. I know at imes you've hinted that you fancy me, I'm sorry Harry."

Harry smiled, "you're like my sister, no need to apologize.

Battle at the Department of Mysteries

"Luna, we need your help."

"With what?"

"We have information that a family member of Harry's is in danger. We need to go save him, but we have no way to get to London."

"Threstles of course. And I'm coming with you." Luna stated before she crushed her lips against Hermiones.

"Would it be ok if we rode together? I feel weird riding a creature I can't see." Hermione blushed

"Of course."

Seconds after the group of friends landed, they found themselves in a maze and all scattered in different directions. Hermione and Luna took hands and ran off.

Death Eaters appeared moments later. One Death Eater viciously attacked Hermione with an unknown silent spell. She fell unconcious and that's when Luna knew she have to defend her friend and fight to the death if needed.

Luna fought hard and viciously. The sweet free flowing peaceful girl was no where to be seen under the violent dueler Luna transformed into.

Only when Harry, Neville, Luna along with Malfoy and Bellatrix remained had they realized the true numbers.

Hermione lay unconscious and severely wounded. Neville was afraid they had lost her.

Neville shot a stunning spell at Bellatrix who shot the torture curse back at him. While Bella was busy with Neville, Luna took the time to disarm her. Bellatrixs wand flew into her hand.

"Stupefy!" Luna called knocking Vokdemorts most loyal supporter unconcious.

"Neville is Hermione..." Lunas voice broken.

"She has a pulse."

Luna released a deep sigh of relief. "Thank Merlin! Where is our help?!" Luna snarled summoning her patronus. "Help Department of Mysteries!" She urged the horse along.

"My sweet Hermione, come back to me." Luna whispered at the unconcious brunette laying on the hospital bed.

The group returned from the batte with scars. Hermione was the worst of the group injured. Madam Pomfrey put her I'm a magical medical coma so she could recover faster.

Luma had refused to leave the brunettes side, and since Poppy had taken a liking to Sweet Luna, the strict nurse had relented.

Harry felt so guilty he hadn't been by to see her. He stayed away from everyone since he had a meeting with Dumbledore. Sirius was ready to pull him out, but Harry begged to finish off the term.

Moaning brought Luna back. Hermione was slowly waking up. Luna tapped her wand at the witch's bedside. Moments later,  the nurse appeared.

"Shes doing great. We can finally let her wake up." Poppy smiled

"Really?!"

"Yes, really."

Hermione was disoriented as she got her surroundings. "Are all the Death Eaters taken care of?" She asked weakly.

Luna nodded, "we are back at Hogwarts my love. You've been recovering from that attack. Dolohov could have killed you with that spell. If he had, I would have killed him. You mean so much to me."

"Thats nice Luna. I love you."

"I love you."

"Hermione, Harry told me you won't be by the Burrow much this summer." Ron pouted the next day.

"I'll be nearby. I'll be spending time with my girlfriend and her dad."

"Girlfriend?! Who?" Ron sputtered.

"Luna, of course!"

Ron looked disgusted, "witches shouldn't fancy each other. It isn't natural."

"Says you! You are living in the stone ages where women  should only marry men." Hermione shot a disgusted look at Ron.

"Im gonna go."

"Thats the best idea you've had all day." Hermione replied glaring at the redheads back.

Luna arrived late that day and the two took hands and walked into the floo.

"Ae you ready to meet my dad?"

"More than ready."

Together Hermione and Luna flooed over to meet Lunas dad which became the start of a wonderful relationship.
