What did I just do? I thought, grabbing Owlbert and flying towards the cliffs.
"Oh Owlbert, how could I be so stupid" I muttered,
"Hoot Hoot"
"What do you mean that wasn't stupid? It was so dumb, I really shouldn't have done that. What if she hates me know Owlbert, what if she never talks to me again? What if that was the worst thing she's ever experienced? WHAT IF SHE'S HAUNTED FOR LIFE NOW!?" I started yelling
"HOOT!!!" Owlbert screamed.
"You're right Owlbert, I could just be assuming the worst" I sighed. "I should go talk to her"
"Hoot :)" Owlbert hooted happily.
"Nope, I should not go talk to her. That is the worst idea I've ever had"
Owlbert frowned and turned jerked around, speeding back to The Owl House.
"OWLBERT NO! STOP! STOP STOP STOP!" I yelled.
However Owlbert did not stop and continued going back to the house. When we arrived we sped through Y/n's window.
"Oh gosh" I said, looking around for Y/n.
"Y/n? Where are you?" I whisper yelled, not actually wanting to see her.
I creeped through the halls, looking for her quietly. After I checked the whole top floor I actually started to worry,
"Y/n!? Y/n are you here?" I yell. Panicking I ran down the stairs an searched frantically.
She was no where to be seen. Where could she be? I summoned Owlbert and we flew outside and started searching, we looked through the market, the woods, the lakes and rivers, the canyons and lastly the cliffs. Which is where I saw her. Lying on the ground at the bottom of the cliff. Scratches littered her body and she was breathing extremely slowly.
"Owlbert! Quickly!" I said, ushering Owlbert to fly faster. I landed and crouched over her body,
"Y/n?" I said quietly, brushing her hair out of her face.
"Hey, Eda" she said, her voice croaky. She looked like she had slowed her fall, otherwise she'd be in much worse condition. Or possibly even, dead. I scooped her up gently and flew her back home. Once we got back I placed her on the couch softly.
"With this spell declared, let the pain be shared" as I spoke I felt my body fill with pain, I didn't know how Y/n had dealt with double this, I winced softly and watched as Y/n opened her eyes.
"Hey" she croaked, "thanks for saving me. Sorry for running away, I was looking for you"
"No, it's my fault. If I didn't fly away you'd still be here" I responded guiltily.
"It's alright" Y/n smiled softly. "Now Eda, can we talk about before please"
"UM NOPE. WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" I said awkwardly.
"You know what happened before. And Eda, you don't need to be sorry. I uh, um, enjoyed it"
I swear my jaw hit the floor. Y/n giggled but then winced softly.
"You, enjoyed it?" I repeated,
"Yes Eda, I did" Y/n responded.
"Welp, I'm tired" I said yawning, "Ima go to my nest" I stood up, instantly regretting my actions, I fell and ended up on the floor. "I forgot I did that spell."
"Hah, how about we help each other out a little" Y/n suggested.
"Okay" I agreed.
Y/n stood up and we leaned on each other gently, we made our way upstairs and to her room. Then I realised something.
"How am I going to get to my nest? With you here? And no other support? I sent Owlbert to the market and King is, um small." I thought aloud.
"We might have to uh, share?" Y/n questioned,
I felt the heat rise to my face,
"Let's go to my nest then, it's bigger"
Y/n nodded and we made our way to my room, we laid in the nest and Y/n started running her fingers through my hair, I purred softly
"You're seriously not a human, are you?" she giggled quietly.
"I already told you that" I responded in a relaxed tone.
"I know, I was just double checking"
After a few minutes Y/n's hand stopped moving and was resting on my shoulder. I sighed happily and began to try and sleep. I heard my door creak open and I stared in horror at an excited looking King.
"I knew it!" he whispered yelled.
"Go away, you can bully me about this another time" I responded snarkily.
King left the room and Y/n stirred in her sleep, wrapping her arm around me softly. I smiled gently and closed my eyes, and fell into a deep, content sleep.
