IT'S NOT THAT Davina Sinclair hated Percy Jackson, she just didn't particularly like him. On top of the fact that he was annoying, she didn't like that he was special. She didn't care that he'd killed the minotaur and gotten his first quest within a few days. She didn't care that he became close with one of her best friends. She didn't hold some type of grudge against him because his arrival brought along her brother's plan to betray camp. Percy was special and she was jealous of him, just not for the reasons most people came to.
Percy jackson should've hated Davina Sinclair. He'd never done anything to make her dislike him, yet she startled hurling snarky remarks at him the moment Annabeth Chase introduced them. He should've hated her, but instead he found her interesting. With the streaks she had dyed in her hair, the dark clothing she wore, Annabeth's refusal to tell him her backstory. She intrigued him. She was special.
When Annabeth gets kidnapped after a mission gone wrong, the two of them (Davina) have to put aside their differences and work together to find her. During the process, she learns that Percy Jackson isn't special. And he learns that Davina isn't intriguing. They're two normal kids about to fight a war.
