It's been almost 31 years since the fall of the Soviet Union, and Russia still hasn't healed. It's one of the main reasons why she invaded Ukraine and all the other countries she's attacked. She always wanted to be like her father; strong, independent, powerful.

But sadly, all her dreams were crushed on that Christmas night in 1991. Now, since it's 2022, everything's changed. Everybody's so modern.. Time feels like a waste. Nothing feels the same anymore. It's as if.. people forgot. Well, not actually, it's almost Christmas time, meaning yet another year without the union she admired. It triggers her whenever those dumbasses celebrate his death. She always cringes at the thought. Why would anybody be happy about someone dying, no matter how they behaved? It wasn't right, and to her, Soviet wasn't even the worst! There are worse people out there. Did they really forget about the fact that the Nazis didn't take over the whole world because of her own dad? Disgusting.

And it wasn't only USSR she lost. After his death, days were.. full of peace. Ridiculous, I know, but.. then, during that period, his siblings also behaved.. differently. They all began choosing on their own, soon leaving Russia to be all on her own. The only one that didn't leave her side was Belarus. Belarus became just like Russia, powerful, but weaker. With her help, she managed to control Moldova out of Romania's own, manipulate Kazakhstan, even invade Georgia and Ukraine, and also lied to the other relatives.. but was it right? She didn't know, she just knew she had to be like her Papa.

He couldn't be wrong, right? He wasn't wrong that she'd become just like him, so then why does it feel differently? She hoped that one day she wouldn't have to be like this anymore, and that day would be the day Soviet would return. Maybe one day, you never know.

She wasn't the one hungry for power, Nyet. She always felt like she was under the control of somebody else.. she can't put her finger on it, but she just knew!

She also knew that every day started and ended the same. Saddned.

...

Just like any other night, Russia was sitting against a tree in the nearby park. She loved sneaking out, mostly because she lived alone now, but she wanted peace. She had peace in her home though, but it wasn't the same as being outside. She'd often smoke, but forgot her cigarettes today, Blyat.

Luckily, she wasn't afraid of the dark. She LOVED darkness. It relaxed her. She still remembers all those times she pranked her siblings that there's monsters under their beds at night when they were young. She does miss them as much as those times, but that's all over. If she wanted to succeed in life, she'd have to forget about being nice and continue on her job. But it just felt very tiring. She just hoped she wasn't all alone in this world. Well, she had good comrades, like Belarus, obviously, but also North Korea, China, Cuba.. like the only communist countries left. But was that enough? She'd lost so many friendships ever since.. it's pathetic, right? I don't know. She just hoped someone out there feels like her too, just so she knew she wasn't the only one feeling this way.

And there actually was. More than one country, however. But out of them all, she only knew one better than the others. Serbia.

Serbia..

During the soviet times, she knew about this other union called Yugoslavia. She was young, so she didn't quite understand what was happening, but knew that so called Yugoslavia was the guardian of, well, Serbia, and all his other siblings. Her father would often tell her about Yugoslavia, and how such good 'allies' they were, but was that really true? She'd never doubt it, because she trusted him, she believed him, so she assumed they had a good relationship.
