I woke up early today, like really early.
"I woke up in the middle of the night and now I can't sleep, great." I checked my phone, and it was 5 a.m.
"Pretty early, I guess, let's wake up."
I went to take a shower; I just wore a hoodie and went out for some air.
"Ah... god made this world so great..." I said as I looked around and I spotted Seobin.
"...but some people had to ruin it."
I approached him from behind and slid my arm across his shoulder.
"Up so early?" I asked.
"Yeah, you too?"
"Mhm... I couldn't sleep." I answered.
"I see."
"Where are you off to?" I asked.
"I'm going to that mountain... you see there." He pointed towards the mountain he meant.
"Oh, ha-ha, I used to go there a lot when I used to live here. How strange, right, I lived here so long, so did my dad, but we don't know the name of that mountain." I spoke.
"Oh, well, even I don't."
"Shall I come with you?" I asked, excited for his reply.
"Why are you so desperate to cling around with me?" He asked.
"Cling? What? How ridiculous, I just want to annoy you." I teased him.
"Tch... How childish." He said as he started walking his way.
"Is that a yes? Does that mean I can come?"
"Do whatever you want." He answered, unbothered.
I started following behind him.
"Why are you taking that path? That's the long way."
"Is it? then where's the short way?" He asked.
"There." I said, pointing to where I meant.
"Are you sure? that seems long." He asked, confirming.
"No, I've lived here long, I know it."
"Okay, I'll trust you."
"What kind of a man goes to a morning walk without deciding where he has to go?... tch"
-A while later-
"Hey... Jiwoong, this road never ends... we're walking for 20 minutes now, and it's still the same road." He said, tired.
"You're tired and you're going hiking? Come on... what kind of a stamina do you have... so poor."
"Just tell me, this is the right way, right?" He cross-checked.
"How can you trust your rival?" I asked him.
"What?! So this is the wrong way?" He shouted.
"Not wrong, long."
"Hey! Are you seriously out of your mind? Ugh... you must be crazy." He groaned.
"Yeah, well, I am."
"I hate you so much.... seriously...." He complained.
"Fine, I feel bad for you... there's a small shop some way ahead, I'll buy you some snacks there."
"You better not be lying this time." He warned.
"I'm not... come on, let's go." I grabbed his hand and started walking.
